And to answer your question, everyone has their own forte and whatnot, so what you find easier will probably be different from everyone else. If you find blending easier and you lack in creativity (orz. that's me.), then you're probably better at romance/angst-y stuff. If you can work well with character placement, colors, and png's, then you're better off with comedy and such. (:

When blending, leave some of the background. You only want to erase what you don't need and if you erase everything except for the person, it'll look like a feathered crop. Choose backgrounds that will blend in better with the images. And when placing your textures, you should erase some of the texture around the faces/main images/whatever of the poster to reduce the opacity around there for better viewing of the main images. ^^

Other than that, well done for a first-timer! :D
