Personality: Hyunae is a typical girly-girl. It's really hard to find her without a grin on her face. She's very hard-working and polite. She tries her best to be nice to people, and a good role-model to those around her. She gets frustrated easily under pressure, but is hesitant to voice her frustrations, since she doesn't want to seem weak in front of her band being the leader and all. Hyunae is a tad bit clumsy and is shy by nature. It takes her a long time to start contributing to conversations with people she barely knows. Sadly, she is a complete coward and scaredy-cat. Making her go into a haunted house alone is the most crulest thing that you could do to her. Hyunae is a very patient and soft-hearted person. She cries really easily if they won a award or something sad happened. She is like a naggy mother, and is a bit uptight. She will take care of the members if they get sick, and be doting on them. She doesn't want them to do anything that will hurt them phyically or emotionally, and will try to stop them at all costs.

When around her bandmates, she is more open (not that much), and contributes more to the conversations. Her sense of humor is shown through her innocence, as she doesn't get what's going on half the time since she was day-dreaming. She She tries her best to show the younger girls that she is a hard-worker, and show them that it takes hard-work to be the best. She doesn't like to tell them her feelings, until it all boils over and she spills everything to them.

Background: Hyunae was the first born into a family who owned a Ramen Shop, and were great parents. Three years later, her baby brother was born. She grew up in Daegu, South Korea, with her parents and younger brother. She first started to get into music when she started playing the violin at eight. Her dream then was to grow up into a Violin prodigy. Although, after watching a newly debuted girlgroup, Wondergirls, perform on TV, she realized that she wanted to become an idol. Her brother was very supportive of her, and always told her to do great. Her parents had supported her from day one, and only asked her to maintain her grades. They also helped her by listening to her singing, and critizied it.

When she finally deemed herself ready, she auditioned at YG entertainment. It was very nerve-racking for her, and she stuttered while introducing herself that she was surprised they could even understand what she was saying. She gave a beautiful performance of with her violin and her voice, but they thought she needed more practice and she failed. To be honest, she cried in front of the YG building after she walked out. It didn't stop her though, and made sure to practice more. That all changed when about a week later, she was approached by a M.S. representative, and asked to come join them at the auditions. She was a bit skeptical at first, but decided to go anyway. She auditioned and was accepted at 17.

Trainee Life: Hyunae's training life was hard. She got frustrated easily from the hard schedules to follow, diets they had to go on, and the excerting dance practices. She never thought of giving up though. The only friends she had was the members of the group, and stayed away from the other trainees since she was so shy. Hyunae always gave it her all, although sometimes she wondered if she was good enough, but quickly dismissed the thoughts.

Hyunae had cheered Hojoon up after he got scolded, and Hojoon instantly took her in as a friend. They usually hangout after practice, going to get snacks from the convience stories.
Reason of Rivalry: Hojoon and Hyunae are easily mistaken as a couple, by the way they act. They go on little outings all the time; coffee (dates), walks, and hang out after practice. Yano feels as if hes losing Hyunae to Hojoon, so he tries his best to take Hyunae away from Hojoon, or divert her attention away from Hojoon, which only works half the time. Hojoon is confused by the maknae's anitics, but likes teasing him. He hold no romantic feelings for Hyunae--until he realizes that he actually finds her really charming.
