PERSONALITY: Hyunae is a typical girly-girl. It's really hard to find her without a grin on her face. She's very hard-working and polite. She tries her best to be nice to people, and a good role-model to those around her. She gets frustrated easily under pressure, but is hesitant to voice her frustrations, since hse is scared to say them aloud. Hyunae is a tad bit clumsy and is shy by nature. It takes her a long time to start contributing to conversations with people she barely knows. Sadly, she is a complete coward and scaredy-cat. Making her go into a haunted house alone is the most crulest thing that you could do to her. Hyunae is a very patient and soft-hearted person. She cries really easily if they won a award or something sad happened.

Her sense of humor is shown through her innocence, as she doesn't get what's going on half the time since she was day-dreaming. BACKGROUND: Hyunae was the first born into a family who owned a Ramen Shop, and were great parents. Three years later, her baby brother was born. She grew up in Daegu, South Korea, with her parents and younger brother. She first started to get into music when she started playing the violin at eight. Her dream then was to grow up into a Violin prodigy. Although, after watching a newly debuted girlgroup, Wondergirls, perform on TV, she realized that she wanted to become an idol. Her brother was very supportive of her, and always told her to do great. Her parents had supported her from day one, and only asked her to maintain her grades. They also helped her by listening to her singing, and critizied it.

  When she finally deemed herself ready, she auditioned at YG entertainment. It was very nerve-racking for her, and she stuttered while introducing herself that she was surprised they could even understand what she was saying. She gave a beautiful performance of with her violin and her voice, but they thought she needed more practice and she failed. To be honest, she cried in front of the YG building after she walked out. It didn't stop her though, and made sure to practice more. That all changed when about a week later, she was approached by a M.S. representative, and asked to come join them at the auditions. She was a bit skeptical at first, but decided to go anyway. She auditioned and was accepted at 17.

HOW YOU MET: Hyunae was visiting Onew at S.M. Entertainment, and Onew introduced them since he was always praising his cooking since he cooked for a party once. Onew had practically pushed the two together and was all like "CONVERSE PEASANTS WHILE I ATTACK THE SNACK TABLE." Hyunae had made it really awkward by not saying anything, but that's only because she was shocked by the handsomeness that it Kyungsoo. The other was awkward too, since Hyunae wasn't saying anything. So, after about five mintues of complete silence, Hyunae (red-faced by now) escaped to the bathroom, and didn't come out until Manager came to pick her up.
HOW YOU INTERACT: Hyunae and Kyungsoo are awkward messes. Hyunae has never been good in front of boys. Even though Kyungsoo and her have a lot in common, they both can't get over how quiet Hyunae is and how Kyungsoo doesn't know how to start a conversation with her. They both try to avoid interacting with each other as much as possible. It kinda irritates Kyungsoo how Hyunae is out-going with Onew, yet awkward with him, yet let's it go since not everyone is comfortable with everyone.

HOW YOU MET: Jongin and Hyunae instantly became friends for their socially awkwardness. Together they make up the 2J (Jo and Jongin), which is what they call their club of shy people. They met when Hyunae and Jongin were trainees and they met through outside of the S.M. entertainment when Hyunae got confused by S.M. and M.S. entertainment names. Jongin had seen her looking confused, and after a pep talk, asked her if she was lost. Hyunae was surprised, and got practically jumped three feet in the air over that. Jongin had laughed and so did Hyunae, and after Jongin showed her where M.S. was, they exchanged numbers because Hyunae wanted to thank him for helping her.
HOW YOU INTERACT: They aren't shy around each other though. They actually can have conversations despite having practically nothing in common. They are the corny nerds with humorless jokes. They act like silly children when together, and (excluding Onew and Leader), hes one of the only people Hyunae can act like a true maknae with. They even have their own complicated handshake that they refuse to show anyone else since it's that sercretative. Although Jongin would choose Taemin over Hyunae, and Hyunae would choose Leader girl over Jongin, they still are there for each other. 
WHY LOVE RIVAL: Jongin the love rival because Hyunae is obviously more comfortable with Jongin. They are close friends and they do, do skinship together, but its not planned and they don't do it often. Hyunae is really bad at making friends with people, so its hard for her to take the first step, which Jongin had taken. Kyungsoo and her are still at level one, but they have the potential to be besties. There's also the problem that Hyunae thinks Kyungsoo is so handsome, and has a slight crush on him, but tends to avoid him.

Hyunae always gave it her all, although sometimes she wondered if she was good enough, but quickly dismissed the thoughts.
