Xiulan came from a wealthy family, but she tries not to show off to people. She's quiet, so no one really knows what her status in life is. Her mother is a piano teacher, so she knows very well how to play a piano. Her father, on the other hand, owns a big restaurant that has many branches in China. Her appa and umma had given her a nickname, "Noah's Snail" because she could forget easily and couldn't make it out immediately. Like a snail, she tries her very best in remembering, and after some long time, she finally succeeds what she was seeking for. And as what her parents says, she's "Noah's Snail" becauseno matter how slow the snail was, it was able to ride on Noah's ark and got saved. She pursues what she wants. Not quickly, but surely.

Xiulan has one older brother, one older sister, and a baby brother. She has four siblings, and she's the second to the last. She didn't want to get rid of her maknae title, but she had to since a very special gift was given to them. She took care of little brother like it was her own son, and that was the time she was finally able to take care of herself too. She stopped depending on her older siblings and parents, and she even got to learn how to cook. Baking was her favorite hobby, but of course, her sister is better than her in so many levels. Her sister even has a Cafe opened up in their town. 

She grew up in Changsha. There, she met many friends, but she was never what you called a Queenka. She stayed behind her friends' shadows, and preferred to be quiet, sit on a corner, listen to music, and memories formulas that she never seemed to remember. In her highschool days, there was one transferee. He didn't come from another country or another town. He was just from another school. By the time he entered the room, the girls squealed silently, but somehow, Xiulan heard those giggles and whispers saying 'Oh my God, he's so cute.' She got very curious and so, she looked up and saw a young lad, standing handsomely in his school uniform. 

"Ni hao. Wo jiao Zhang Yixing. Please take care of me." He bowed and the teacher assigned him to his seat. 'Oh, so he's Yixing?' Xiulan thought. 

Yixing was the first to attempt to make conversations with her. At first, as usual, Xiulan was shy and quiet. She answered short sentences, making him think long on how to continue the conversation. But as time passed by, after how many countless efforts, Yixing finally got Xiulan's trust and became bestfriends with her. They were stuck like glue, always sticking together, making Xiulan earn more haters since Yixing eventually turned into a popular hearthrob at school.

One day, as she was attempting to bake a cake because it was Yixing's birthday, she was so excited. She got a phone call, and it was none other than the birthday boy."Happy birthday, Yixingggg!" She squealed enthusiastically on the phone. On the other line, Yixing was nervous on how to break it to her. "Xiulan-ah. I'm sorry. If you're making a birthday cake for me like how you do every time I celebrate my birthday, I'm sorry but you're gonna have to eat it alone. I'm going to Korea, I won't meet you ever again. I'm really sorry, my dear bestfriend. I love you." And with that, he hung up. He left Xiulan at lost for words. How could he have done that to someone who is so fragile? 

Four months have passed, she learned that Yixing, or now, more known as Lay, has left her, his family, China, to be a famous Kpop star. She was mad, outraged even. How could he have not told her so? She would've understood. Did he not trust her? But somehow, he wanted to see him again. He wanted to know how his bestfriend is doing. After all he's done, she still calls him her 'bestfriend'. She knew how much of a fool she's become for him, but she really doesn't care. 

When she graduated from Highschool, she asked her parents if she could go to Korea and study there. Of course they had doubts, letting their little princess go off into reality. But she convinced them that it was for her good. And so, she did fly to Korea. She studied there, but not as a Doctor, like how she always told her parents she would be. But as a star. She studies at a Performing Arts School. Where young idols study at. The talent that she really had in her was rapping. Surprising how one soft girl can turn into a  badass rapper. But let's just say she's been practicing in front of the mirror, making faces you wouldn't expect to see from her. 

One spring afternoon, she faced a tall building where her dreams could come true. The building that would lead her to seeing Yixing once again. She entered, and she saw many busy people, doing whatnot. She was at the SM Entertainment Building. She was assisted by someone she didn't know, and she told her she was to apply as a trainee. She passed a video clip of her rapping. After four weeks, yes she counted, she received an email. It was to notify her that she got accepted in SM as a trainee. Of course, she went to SM Entertainment in the date that she was told to go. 

how do you act around people?:

Xiulan is quiet, smiles lightly, and answers shortly. But when you get to know her more, she can be very fun to be with, and whenever you hang out with her, you feel as if you have to take care of a little child. She also always gets forgetful, which sometimes irritates her. But she doesn't question herself. She just has to live with it.
