I've Missed This Feeling

The feeling of aching, throbbing muscle is, no lie, something I've missed. But not just normal ache. :/

I tried my points shoes on for the first time in who knows how long (I always forget how much those things frickin hurt). I haven't done ballet for six years (since I was twelve), and now I can't believe I quit. I loved the feeling of accomplishment as I stood on points for the very first time in my life.

  I had made it.

Any little girl who is in ballet can tell you just how long they've been dreaming to stand on point and look as graceful as a prima ballerina. When I got my points, all the pain those shoes caused was worth all the waiting and hard work I had to go through to get there. And even though my shoes are now three sizes too small (definitely makes the pain 20x worse) my feet have never felt more free than when I take those off.

So, I'm considering starting ballet classes up again. I know "what the hell are you thinking? Don't you know that you can't just start where you left off?"

  I am aware of this.

I just want to try. No one has ever told me NOT to try.

So, I'm gonna try again and see what happens.
