Accepted works
Well finally our so-called newspapers were released ^^ and guess what? Three of my poems happened to be part of it ^^ that’s for the English newspaper… actually only two were credited to me cause I gave the byline of the third one to my ever best friend missdollar ^^ wanna know which poem it is??? Well here I would give the contents to you…
#1 Youthful Memories
=Kristalesa=
High school life is indeed one of a kind
The joy that you experienced is hard to find
Bushels of laughter which are paired with tears
Memorable experiences of your teens
Meeting your first crush then your first love
Cramming for your grades 90 and above
Being terrorized by strict professors
And yet you have lots of carefree expressions
Scared and excited on your first day
Getting used to your freshman year til’ May
Sophomore year is quite intriguing
Speaking of the new quests that you’ll be facing
Then there comes your junior high
Experiencing JS and asking why
The last but not the least is senior life
Getting busy and serious for a while
Reminiscing the past is quite fun
Especially when you reunite with everyone
Hoping that we all go back in time
And once again, make all those memories shine
#2 Times Up
(Kristalesa)
Lots of people keep on hurting themselves
Always giving others what we call second chances
Still staying in that same old place as they waited
Hoping for the return of the one who departed
No matter how many sign will show up
Nor how much deceiving they got
They won’t just simply give up
Constantly moving and moving without any stop
I know that a loving heart also gets tired
For some kinds of love does really expire
They must wake up and learn
Now this must end before they get burned
Being stranded in the past won’t do them any good
As of now they really have to do what they should
Looking forward for a brighter tomorrow
In order to avoid further sorrow
#3 Don’t Underestimate Me
+Kristalesa+
Powerless and useless as what people thinks
Such descriptions really stink!
Being a woman I can also be strong
Proving each and everyone that they are wrong
At might be simple and charming at first sight
But I become fierce and scary when there’s a fight
Don’t treat me like a mere weakling
For you’ll soon realize that I’m worth trying
This combatant side comes out when it’s necessary
Defending myself and even all of you
To avoid the most disastrous tragedy
This is at least what I can do
Always think before criticizing me
Coz I can do something that’s more than reality
You will be amazed in your discovery
For something’s special behind this simplicity
For our Filipino publication, one of my poems was also accepted… it’s entitled as “Dayuhang Lason”
Sapagkat kababayan nati’y tayo’y ikinakahiya
English Translation…
Foreign poison
People who tend to go abroad are definitely increasing
Voluntarily turning their backs on the Philippines
They try their best in order to look like a foreigner
Constantly denying that they are indeed Filipinos and that’s the truth
Purposely changing their clothes and even their language
They sell their whole self to the foreigners
They keep on patronizing foreign products
And they would just ignore their very own Filipino-made products
Our economy is slowly sinking
For our co-Filipinos are ashamed of us
They say that being a Filipino is a sin
By using local products your standard decreases
Now what will happen to this country?
To the government and to hundreds of Filipinos
It’s quite painful to think but this is really a fact
All are effects of the foreign poison that is indeed dangerous
my essay was also in ^^ it’s about fake people who only tend to remember god’s existence whenever they have problems and if ever that they would happy, they would treat god as a n invisible not existing somebody who most likely is a stranger to them…
It is entitled as “Kalahating Pananampalataya” or Half Faith…
And lastly, my story which is Behind the Scenes that I’ve only converted into a hetero type of story was also accepted ^^ it would be published on our English folio which is named as “reflections”
Well at least before I graduate, I get to dominate the field of literary ^^
