K-Pop can help you ace assignments in school (as I've learned last year)

yeah so as the title says, I got perfect score (10/10) on an English assignment thanks to k-pop.

So everyday, my English teacher tells a certain student to pick a quote for us to elaborate on. Meaning we think about the meaning of the quote, connect the quote to other things, and finalize our thoughts on this quote.

So when it was my turn, I picked a quote from a k-pop song (obviously).

I used a quote from Nu'est's single, Face.

I wanna show you the assignment because I have no life xD

ALSO

DO CHECK OUT MY ASSIGNMENT I HAD TO DO ON G-DRAGON IN MAY. I WORKED SO HARD ON THAT ONE HOLY . GUYS READ ALL THE SUBPAGES ON THAT ASSIGNMENT BECAUSE I HAD TO RESEARCH AND REWRITE ALL OF THAT

SO OVERALL....

I ACED THAT TOO

"You'll always realize that it hurts after it shatters." - Nu'est

This quote is an interesting one for me. Not just because it's from a song in a different language, but because it has multiple meanings and definitions that could be deemed fit for this very quote.

When I first looked at this quote, I immediately thought of heartbreak. The pain in something doesn't come when you're going through the breaking process, the pain hits you after it all breaks apart. Also, it makes you think about the process of emotional pain. First blow, you build a wall of defence so you won't get hurt again. Second blow, you numb the painful emotions as much as possible to avoid suffering. Third blow, you break down, your defence falls apart, you shatter. That's when you realize that it hurts. That it always hurts. No matter how strong you are, no matter how many times you've been through it, it'll always hurt.

This quotes also makes me think of our society these days and how we act. People carelessly throw around insulting words at one another and act like it's no big deal. Some people's hearts shatter at those words, they feel the pain, yet they plaster a fake smile across their faces and let it go.

Through a class discussion, we've all heard diverse opinions on this quote. Firstly, we realized this quote is similar to another one, which is "you never know the value of something until it's gone." We also realized that this quote explains how we humans tend to take things for granted, which is quite true. Also, this quote can be compared to trust, which once shattered, can never be the same. Another thing that's similar to this quote, is the song "Let Her Go" by Passenger, which mainly talks about how you don't realize you need something until you lose it.

Overall, I believe this quote talks about the pain after losing something or someone close to you. We should cherish what we have, but remember that it hurts once it shatters. We shouldn't be too attached to something, as it keeps the pain to a minimum when it's gone. Lastly, we will always feel pain after something's been taken away from us. So we should just try our best to avoid getting too attached, always keep a distance, regardless of size. Because once you're too attached, you'll never learn to let go, and you will shatter to the point where you can't be fixed.
