Background: Qui Yue comes from a middle class Chinese family living in Korea. Her family moved from Beijing, where she was born, to Seoul when she was only five years old. Being an only child, Qui Yue always worked hard to please her parents. At the age of seven Qui Yue’s parents got her a piano teacher. She honestly had no desire to play an instrument let alone the piano. However her parents seemed quit passionate about the idea and Qui Yue didn’t want to disappoint them so she willingly obliged.
Qui Yue was conditioned to love music. Her parents were, and still are, big music lovers especially the opera genre. They would often visit the local opera house and when Qui Yue was old enough she would tag along. In 2008 when she was 11 years old Qui Yue and her family went to Madrid Spain to visit the Teatro de la Zarzuela opera house. That was one of the most incredible vacations of Qui Yue’s life. She had such a wonderful time that she promised to come back with her true love.
In 2011 Qui Yue was at her school’s entrance when she was approached by a gentle man claiming to be an SM representative. He gave Qui Yue his card and offered her an opportunity to train at SM entertainment and possibly become an idol. It was hard for Qui Yue to picture her self as an idol. Her goal in life were to graduate high school, attend a good college and later on join the corporate world, like her parents.
However the more she thought about it the more the idea of being famous sounded good to her. She decided on her own will to take this opportunity given to her. She had always been a fan of SM artist, Girls generation in particular, thus Qui Yue the idol wanna be was born. Surprisingly Qui Yue’s parents did not shut down her dream, they actually supported her. Not long after she joined the SM trainee program and after 3 years Qui Yue would debut with Pink Friday.
personality: At first glance Qui Yue is very cute and adorable. Most people find it impossible to resist her innocent charms. She seems quite naïve and it’s only natural for her unnies to feel the need to protect her. But don’t let her appearance fool you.
Qui Yue is smarter that she lets off. Qui Yue is a genius and would. She is very much aware of the way other people see her so she uses that to her advantage. She likes to play the innocent beauty especially to strangers or those who do not know her well. Although keeping her eccentric personality under wraps can be a bit strenuous.
She likes being the center of attention that is why she acts cute all the time, because she figured that most people like the cute innocent act. Aside from her evil tendencies Qui Yue can be really nice, when she wants to be. She is a people pleaser so it’s no surprise that she finds it difficult to say no to people.
