1. I heard of an invading, vanquising army sweeping across the land, liquid-quick; conquering everything, quelling resistanve. With it, came darkness, dimming the light. Humans hid in their houses, while outside spears pierced, shattering stone walls. Uncountable soldier smashed into the ground, but each elicted life as he died; when the army had vanished, advancing northward, the land was green and growing, refreshed.

2. Soldiers line up with pride. Two long rows lined side by side. One sole unit can decide. If the riws will unite or divide. Tell me, tell me, scream it out. What is the thing I talk about?

3. I cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heard,cannot be smelled. It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty hooes it fills. It comes first and follows after. Ends life, kills laughter.

4. I am the beginning of sorrow, and the end of sickness. You cannot express happiness without me, yet I am in the midst of crosses. I am always in risk, yet never in danger. You may find me in a sun, but I am never out of darkness.

5. There are four brothers in this world that were born all together. The first runs and never wearies, the second eats and is never full, the third drinks and always thirsty, the fourth sings a song that is never good.

6. Every dawn begins with me. At dusk I will be the first you see. Daybreak could not come without. What midday centers all about. Daisies grow from me, I am told. When I come, I end all cold, but in the sun I cannot be found. Yet still, each day, I will be around
