Our Generation

Finding Nemo a great disney movie that we grew up with. It starts off depressing as heck. I mean a baby loses its mother and is harmed by the attacker. Thats messed up for a kids movie don't you think. I mean you can literrally describe the movie like this. A boy gets kidnapped for not listening to his father, now it's up to his father and his lunatic friend to find him. Like WTF!!!

UP!!! We all love this movie. But again it has a depressing begining. How are they goona show a really happy couple only later to show that the old lady died. So now her husband is a bitter grouchy old man. WTF!!!!

TARZAN!!! This baby is abandoned by his parents, i forgot why in the jungle. Where he is raised bhy apes. DEPRESSING!!!!!

There are SOOOO many more examples of these kinds of "Children" films we grew up with. I mean think about it has there ever been a disney movie that is 100 percent happy? Nope, even the princess movies are depressing. Cinderella is practically a slave!!! So from a young age we have known about depression, and abandonment.

Another thing Disney movies teach us is Rebellion!!!

I mean Snow White runs away and lives with seven little men. Sleeping Beauty falls in a trance for poking the spinning wheel her parents told her not to touch. Cinderella broke out of the house to go to a dance. We are surrounded by these things from such a young age. Then our parents ask why we are like this. Um, you have shown us these films. And NOT EVERYTHING HAS A HAPPY ENDING!!!!!!!!!

These are some realizations i have made today, now i know why i can't write a legit happy story. If you check out my stories not a single one is entirely happy. Except Since Childhood, but its already planned out, and it is NOT happy in the middle. And i am working on two stories that i already know are not going to have a happy ending. Scratch that three stories. You can guess if you want i will tell you if you are wrong or not. So yeah thats so sad, we are a depressing generation. Its because of these films that our generation struggles so much with Suicide. Think about that DISNEY!!! Kids movies should be happy, not depressing as , then happy, because life doesnt work that way!!!!

disney took original fairy tales that were used to scare chidren.. and made them "child safe" they were meant for inspiring and dreams... but again it gives people false hope

My mom didn't like me watching disney movies when I was younger, so I ended up watching Japanese ones instead. XD
I mean, I've seen almost every one ONCE. Excluding The Lion King, I've watched that one plenty of times. xd Aladdin and Tarzan too. But at least the disney endings are nicer than the orginal ones. (I like th orginals much better tho, except for Snow White /shudders/)

Lol. Disney always makes everything happier.
The Little Mermaid: In the original story the Prince married someone else. She had to kill the Prince in order to turn back to a mermaid, but couldn't, and disappeared into foam.
Sleeping Beauty: In the original story, she was put to sleep because of a prophecy, not a curse. The Prince doesn't kiss her awake. A king finds her, thinks she's pretty, and her.
Cinderella: In the original story, the step-sisters cut off parts of their feet to make the glass slipper fit, but it still doesn't fool the Prince. They get their eyes pecked out by pigeons and live as beggers while Cinderella is all living happily ever after in a nice big castle.

That's why Disney always has happy endings. Kids are kids. They shouldn't be told about such cruel tales. The bitter truth should be saved for later, when they're mature and ready to handle that reality is not all rainbows and sunshine.

I love Tarzan soooo much!!
Even if the beginning is kinda depressing ( tazan's parent get killed by an animal in order to save tarzan), the rest is fantastic!!
Exiting & quite funny sometimes ;)
But, okay, I have to admits that the scene where tarzan's parents got killed frightened me ( I watched.this when I was 5) ^^
I wouldn't a plain "happy" story at all, that would be sooooooo boring XD

It's upto you to see the good and bad in things. These movies are nothing but some stories written, fiction that is, just like we write here. You can't blame disney, if you're going to judge your life condition off some movies. Since kids we have known sadness because we didn't get every single thing we wanted, our parents refused of some reason. But that still happens today, doesn't it ? As we grow up, we see things from a more mature and different perspective. That's when we become depressed, heck even I have depression. But I don't put that on disney or even a person. Because it's all how we look at life. Of course there are disappointments, but if you weren't strong enough, you wouldn't be where you are right now. These movies are somewhat inspirational from my experience, cause that's just how i choose to look at it.
In the end, no one has any right to judge anyone's opinion, I wasn't judging your point of view on things, I was just stating mine,
