The Military

Oh muy gosh I just found out that all Korean male firearms have to serve two years in the army from the ages of eigteen to thirty. I want to cry now, a lot of my babies are going to have to enlist soon. I don't think I will he able to handle itm omg Im gonna have an attack. I pray that all my idols and citizens of south Korea to stay safe. I just can't imagine them going to war. I. Just can't. Omg now I'm fricking out. Just in case you are wondering I am Luhan biased so I checked China's military enlistment too. It is necessary for all Chinese male citizens from the age of eighteen to twenty two to enlist. Luhan is twenty three twenty four over there and he was not a citizen of China while he was in the age limit so he does not have to serve. Idk if he's a citizen if south Korea though, but only south koreaans fight in the army. So I think my baby is safe. I pray every night that their service time won't come any time soon. My poor Baekhyun, Sehun, Suho,Kai, D.O., Chanyeol, Chen, Xiumin, and Chunji. Wow random Teen Too member but I live him.

Though we will miss them, this is actually a good thing for them to experience. When they come back, we will gladly welcome with open arms and kisses...lol don't worry though, they WILL come back to us!

ye well my ultimate bias is going into the army next year... (been into kpop since 2006) so i've know this for a while... but you have quite alot of time (at least 7 years) to start worrying

Military is something that I think EXO would be proud of serving as they can serve and protect their country!^^ rather than looking at the bad side, EXO can also escape their sasengs during that 2 years too, so it's a good and bad thing^^

Lol. You didn't know? But they're most likely going to wait until they're like in their mid- or late-twenties to serve, like a lot of other idols (e.g., Super Junior) do.

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. Se7en is serving in the military right now and I know that Bi Rain did as well. I hope that they don't end up having to serve.

don't worry they won't die :) it's just training
and i'm chinese, so i know that china doesn't have a military service like that
you can go but it's not required

It's usually 4-5 weeks of basic training and then afterward they can either stay in the army or do public service. So yeah, your idols can pick active duty or non-active duty services. Just remember that in the public eye it's better for them to do it than try to dodge it.

But don't worry, they all won't go same time. The group still continues :) They go there one by one and come back :) so simple :) in finland every man has to military too, but it's not that bad. Here it is only 11 month :) although they go here bretty young, 17-18 year old... Or sometimes 20.

Sweetheart I'm glad you just found out about this and you're worried, but do calm down and don't worry!!! Military service in Korea is by absolutely no means a dangerous thing. Yes they go through all the things that members of a national military practice, and they're trained for the benefit of their country, but all the living, training, activities, and fitness are all carried out in a safe manner. They don't actually go into battle (because I mean there aren't any wars going on right now for one thing) unless it becomes an absolute emergency for the Korean nation. Please don't worry, males in Korea really consider their military service as a coming-of-age time of their life more than anything.
Hope that helped! ^^
