► background: Younghee grew up in a well-off family in the middle of a country-side city, Daejeon. But when she reached her fifth grade, she moved to Chuncheon to live her grandparents as her parents went to America in order to build a business chain. They did not want to take her with them since they knew how difficult it was going to be for her trying to learn a new language and was likely to be bullied, so they made arrangements for her to move to Chuncheon with her grandparents where she was bullied as her parents feared.
Through a few days she was made fun of and she dealt with it since she knew she wasn't the only girl in the world being picked on and put on a smile no matter what happened. Then something happened that changed her life. As she was walking to her classroom from PE, a bunch of girls in her class got a bucket of water and dumped it on her and left. Now it would have been refreshing for her, but sadly it was during the freezing winter. Frozen in spot, she was on the verge of tears of a mental breakdown when a boy threw a towel at her face. She looked up and saw a boy with a scowl but thanked him anyways with tears flowing down. Then he said such harsh words that made her snap. Though that's what he wanted in the first place, since he knew how strong she was and wanted her to knew as well.
He kept pushing her limits day after day but she had enough and demanded that he left her alone but he only stated, "This is what friends do, you dork!" Realizing she actually made a friend, it overjoyed her and the dangerous vibe from before vanished and was replaced by a new friendly one with arguments of affection.
The two started at a friendship and evolved into a relationship during their seventh grade year. But a year later Jonghyun entered in an audition, which Younghee fully supported, and was accepted by TOP Media. Like a child, his personality is quite adorable with his dorky attitude always looking forward to living in his own world despite whether or not people judge him. He is a bit reckless and brusque using his hands more than his words but really it's because he doesn't know how to convey his feelings well through words he lets his actions speak for him. He may act all cocky thinking he knows everything but he just uses his sixth-sense to use his logic and it seems like nothing can stop him from saying what he has in mind. Even if he is shot down, he will keep trying again and again until his stubborn attitude gets through to people, though his loud and obnoxious personal is only trying to hide his insecurities that often goes along with his temperamental self. But there are moments when his grown-up personalities come into place.
♡ Jonghyun is quite perceptive as he uses his intuitions to get his way around and tap into his flexible self. Being the easy-going and creative person he is, he can't help but have an idealistic view about the world trying to be as globally-oriented as he can. Insightful and original, he is who he is even if he seems to come out a bit rash onto other people. Despite that, if he puts his mind onto something it is quite difficult to get him out of his goal and demands but he can be a bit hesitant about what he wants and needs. Even still, he is quite comfortable with the people he knows often being a people-oriented person who gives support while reading their feelings and minds. He is an easy person to make friends and associate with as he cares deeply for his loved ones. That being said, no one seems to notice what a hopeless romantic he is with all of his cheesy remarks and sweet intentions that seem to tremble a few hearts here and there, much to Younghee's dismay.
relationship: Whenever these two are together, a second cold war seems to break out with no one trying to interfere or stop them; instead they seat back and grab a bag of popcorn. They are the comedic duo that send waves of hatred to one another but they each take it as a sign of love. They grew to like the arguments they have and the common likeness in personality and temper they share making their conversations more enjoyable. They find this sense of relationship comfortable and enjoy what they have. Not what Younghee would have wanted, but it makes up for the fact that they can always have fun with each other around.
dating time relationship: Jonghyun and Younghee varied from lovey-dovey one moment and then best friends who are at war the next. They would argue about the simplest things and say "I don't like you" with a poker face but burst into laughter the next second while pinching each other's cheeks. In short terms, Jonghyun and Younghee acted like two best friends who were just best friends and nothing out of the ordinary besides hugging very tightly and hand holding as they walked down a street. They had eac other to hold and they were at peace with the moments they shared.
why they broke up: They were together up until a year after Jonghyun debuted with Teen Top. At a young age, it was very difficult since it was mostly based on a whim. Though even though they were together only just two years ago, the last year they spent together was rarely for themselves as he became more and more busy with training and she needed to study for her high school entrance exams. It was difficult to see one another besides those once in every two month meetings. The long distance could not be handled and Andy finally thought that Jonghyun needed to be focused in his idol duties and asked for the relationship to be on hold. But rather than putting it on hold, both Younghee and Jonghyun decided it was best they ended the relationship. Though they do talk occasionally, it is very rare.
