personality: Haneul is pretty and she's always just kinda known it.  she delights in her appearance, making her somewhat vain. she's the type of girl who enjoys looking at herself in the mirror, and often pauses when passing any reflective surface to admire her face and hair, or her dress. Although, thankfully, it hasn't lead to an sort of y personality shift.  She's not modest in the least about her apperance, but doesn't trash talk or belittle anyone for theirs.  She does tend to freak out over minor things that mar her skin or a bad hairday, though.  back in melbourne, haneul was something of a party queen, revelling in all kinds of parties and bar scenes.  She can be a pretty wild partier and puts a high value on her entertainment and the entertainment of those around her.  Thus, however, the atmosphere of the party scene has also caused haneul to become quite the impulsive risk taker.  she puts little thought into her actions and goes gung-ho and all in.  This can get her into some trouble, but usually she makes it work out.

haneul has a boundless energy, and is full of pep and zest.  She approaches every new experience with gusto and a smile on her face.  but it makes her even happier when she can share experiences with other.  always quite the social girl, she makes friends with exceptional ease and doesn't hold back parts of her personality.  she's forward and honest, and has a hard time being alone.  her desire for friendship is only matched by her impressive loyalty; if you're friends with haneul, you're friends for life and she'll always have your back.

haneul tends to be easily annoyed.  she's impatient and when things don't go exactly right she gets upset.  she's quite huffy when she's angry and can be backhanded.  sadly, haneul happens to also be incredibly petty and its' hard for her to let go of a grudge against someone, for the minorist things.  she tends to hold onto her anger and annoyance instead of letting it go.  she "forgives" her friends and family, but she never forgets.  she has self appointed herself the advice queen, and will give you advice whether its called for or not, or whether you want it or not, and expect her to cut if she thinks its appropriate.  she's not shy and, in fact, is pretty brazen with her advice and jabs.  a master of quips, haneul tends to have pretty on-point humor, however, she can often go to far without realizing it and hurt feelings or make people uncomfortable with rude or inappropriate quips.

◜❀ Biography◞

background: haneul was born to nah Sungho and mikyung just before sunrise on november 11th 1991, after a painstakingly long labor.  the younger of identical twins, haneul had a best friend right from birth.  her parents, successful dentists in melbourne, australia, were both transplants from Korea, so haneul and her younger sister hyejin were raised with their korean heritiage close at heart.  at seven, haneul almost drowned during a trip to the beach and hasn't gone swimming since.  haneul and hyejin were enrolled in a middle class private school, and enjoyed pretty normal educational careers.  haneul was a social butterfly and quickly became highly popular, while her plucky, stout older sister tended to be more of an oucast.  

throughout her childhood and into her adult life, haneul had a love for music.  she was part of her high school's audition-based show choir and enjoyed three national championships during her membership of the group.  always a touch of a troublemaker, haneul had her first fake Id at sixteen and immediately began breaking curfew and galavanting around the city with her group of friends.  it was at one of these bars where she met her now-fiancé, noah anderson, at thetime a ninteen year old college sophmore.  initially she lied to him as well about her age, trying to pass as an eighteen year old girl but when the truth came out he immediately called it quits. she was devestated and had a period where she sunk a touch too hard into the party scene until one night's reckless driving put her sister in the hospital.  luckily, both their injuries were minor but she took to a method of moderation and, despite a love for mixing drinks, hasn't actaully drank alcohol since her seventeenth birthday.  

upon graduation, haneul met up once again with noah at a gardening store she happened to wander into.  the two reconciled after the time apart and resumed their relationship.  through noah and the garden he helped her start, haneul realized her intense passion for botany and decided to purusue it in college.  in 2011, she happened to hear about SM auditions, and absolutely begged her parents to help her pay for a ticket to seoul so she could audition.  they were intially skeptical, but after hyejin begged to help haneul reach her dream, they sent the two sisters off to the auditions.  the two sisters moved to korea shortly after haneul was accepted.  in december of 2012, noah proposed and haneul said yes, the two decided to put off officially tying the knot however, letting haneul pursue violet stars and actively working to keep their engagement out of the eyes of both SME and the Korean press.

trainee history: haneul learned about sm entertainment after becoming exposed to kpop culture through youtube.  she'd always wanted to be a singer, and the glamor of the idol scene drew her in.  but, sadly, there weren't any auditions in australia, so she convinced her parents to send her and her sister to seoul to audition there.  with her sister, her eternal cheer leader, at her side, haneul wowed the judges and earned herself a spot in SMe in 2011.  she moved to seoul with her sister and spent the next year and a half training before being placed in violet stars.

personality: he's a bit of a wildcard, that park chanyeol.  giddy public persona aside, underneath he's a bit more stoney and his confidence is unending.  The boy has never really been told "no," is the impression he gives off.  park chanyeol seems to always get what he wants.  he's loud and confident, but definitely has an appreciation for being sweeping and romantic.  he likes to crack jokes and is not above using cheesey pick up lines to get a laugh and a chance at a girl he's interested in.  he has a troublemaker streak and throughly enjoys pranks.

chanyeol also has a more serious side and a bit of a temper.  he's not used to not getting his way and it can result in some biting anger if something he wants is denied from him.  petulant is a good word to describe him in these scenarios, it's not becoming.  when you really get to know him, you realize there's not all that much underneath the artiface and facade, just a dumb, spoiled kid.

backstory: haneul first met chanyeol in the hallways of the SM building before his debut in exo. the vending machine ate her won, and he offered to pay for her to get a drink. the two parted ways quietly after that and she thought nothing of it.  upon their next meeting in the violet stars debut meeting she got the distinct and uncomfortable impression that he was eyeing her. she tried to shake it off, but a pickup line later that day made her realize exactly what park chanyeol wanted.

relationship status: haneul and chanyeol are aquaintences and nothing more. being the friendly social butterfly, haneul would love to simply be friends with chanyeol, but she doesn't want more than that. which makes things uncomfortable with his constant attempts to get in her pants.  with the fact that she's actively chosen to conceal her engagement from the label, she is between a rock and a hard place trying to figure out how to get him to leave her alone in that regard. he's persitant, and let's be honest, sort of cute, but he's just not her type.
