As I was scrolling through the blogposts I noticed lots and lots of posts concerning the numerous Saesang's at EXO's Baekhyun's brother's wedding and I think many fans don't understand Saesang (in no way do I know everything! I am not saying that) and their twisted reasoning.

Before you read further I want you to realize in NO WAY do I condone or agree with anything Saesang people (they are not fans!) do! They honestly are sick in the head and need some counseling ASAP... and new hobbies.

Why They Do It

Awhile ago, way back when I became a fan, I became intrigued by Saesang simply because I knew there was way more to it than upon first glance (aka just thinking they are insane people who have no lives - the no lives part is true haha). And low and behold I was right. There was a few different interviews concerning Saesang's and simply put the reason they do it is: to be noticed. They don't care if it's negative, they just want to be remembered by their idol. They believe their entire being is to be around this idol and live for them. They want to be as close as possible to their idol, so why not hurt them and be remembered forever? Yes they are remembered as that psycho that tried to poison, sent their blood, punched them or even have a dangerous high speed chase through the streets of Seoul; but they don't care because they rationalize it in their mind that it's what they're supposed to do and what they truly want.

How Do They Do What They Do?

Saesang are everywhere. Literally. They purposely get jobs in certain places (cell phone companys, credit card companys you name it they have someone there) so they constantly have an eye on their target. Apparently there is a lot of networking going on almost constantly as well so every Saesang per group (not necessarily the entire fandom but ones that band together) knows exactly what they know and when.

How Do They Get Away With It?

I think it's mostly because Korean laws are no where near as close to things concerning 'stalking' as there is in other countries, remember Korea is still developing don't let their flashy buildings fool you. Supposedly at least half the Saesang's are underage so I'm guessing they either have horrible parents or they dropped out (which most do) and they rely on their Saesang connections to get future jobs to continue the cycle. I think it would be much better for the idols if they were given bodyguards, hell I have no idea why the labels aren't! Maybe they think the managers are enough? I don't know but they should work on protecting their idols or their going to have less artists under them.
