So, I just maneged to watch the latest Shingeki no Kyojin episode, and...

and I felt reeeeeeeally disappointed. I still love this anime very much (so much that I willingly suffer every week while this show stabs me in the heart and pours lemon juice and salt on my wounds), but the recent changes made me mad.

They just killed one of the points where Eren's personality could develop into something greater.

Let me describe the situation: Annie became a titan, Eren should have fought with her, but this is what happened:
- Ah, I can't do this, she's my friend, no way I could hurt her *whines, cries in a corner, weltschmertz*
Then he gets back to his original aim to kill every titan (yeah, the ippiki no korosu thing), and I won't spoil it more for you~

And this is how it should have been (this is the manga way):
It's the same up to the point where Eren hesitates about attacking Annie, so MIkasa and Armin try to do something.
Eren: How can you two... fight like this?
Mikasa: We have no choice, do we? The world is a cruel place.
AND WAIT FOR IT
Eren:  Sure it is.
DUMMDUMMDUMM.  Here is where Eren realizes that his pink plans for the future wouldn't work, because he has to make sacrifices if he wants to save the humanity.

Well, yeah. I'm not saying that deciding between killing your friend or nor is easy, but if this friend kills like half of your legion (what a nice friend you have there), then maybe, I said maybe you should consider it.

I imagined what my choice would be in this situation, and I think I would kill Annie. I know that it sounds selfish, but come on. I don't think any of us would choose the other option, because honestly, that's not really an option. Your friend vs. you and every human.

So what's the point of my post?
DEAR ANIME PRODUCERS! Why can't you stick to the plotline of the manga? ;A; I was hoping for a second season, but because of the recent events, it seems that they want to finish this story.

Well, I'm still waiting eagerly for the last episode.
