Background : Jay started his career in acting by auditioning for a role in Boys Over Flower, he was actually planned to be in F4, but he was involved in a car accident and did not participate in the story.

Jay debuted in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho as Park Dong Joo (No Min Woo in the story). He got many good response that he make his first start to take the lead role in Baby-faced Beauty as Choi Jin Wook (Choi Daniel in the story). His talent in acting is admitted by almost everyone and is considered as one of the best male actor in South Korea.

 His family supported his dream and help him all they can especially his sister, Ji Hyun. He dated a few times, but they are all stayed friend because he wants to focus on his career first.
