Kang Min Hyuk is nervous yet excited at first filming for ‘The Heirs’
The promotion blitz for upcoming SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘The Heirs’ continues today, with new
photos of CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk who is cast as Yoon Chan Young, the son of the Empire
Group’s secretary at his first filming session.
The Heirs’ will make its bow on October 9th, and Min Hyuk is cast as an easy-going gentleman
Yoon Chan Young, and his performance is highly anticipated by viewers. He will be involved
romantically with the characters played by Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, and f(x)’s Krystal.
Min Hyuk filmed his first scene at a high school in Seoul’s Seongdong District on August 17th.
Min Hyuk arrived at the film set with a natural smile and said, “It’s been a while since I acted, so
I am nervous yet excited.” The filming staff also reserved praise for him by saying, “He really
excelled and exceeded our expectations.”
Despite having a child-like appearance, Kang Min Hyuk had an aura about him that made him
well-liked by all the filming staff at the set. He was able to grasp hold of the surroundings once
cameras got rolling, as he assumed the cold-hearted personality of his role. Min Hyuk’s
successful show of his masculine charms also led to praise from female staff at the set, “He has
really matured.”
Min Hyuk also stated his goal for the drama, “In ‘The Heirs’, we will give our all to present the
best acting. We hope that everyone will look forward to catching ‘The Heirs’, and please pay
more attention to my role as Chan Young.”
The production company said, “Kang Min Hyuk is not only gentle and easy-going, but he also
possesses a wild masculine charm. He is really well-liked at the film set. We hope that everyone
will look forward to seeing Kang Min Hyuk’s performance in ‘The Heirs’ in the coming months.”
The Heirs’ depicts the friendships and love lives of young, rich heirs who form 1% of the upper
class of Korean society, and Cha Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye), who is considered ordinary and
comes from a poor family.
The star-studded idol ensemble which includes Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, f(x)’s
Krystal, CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, Kim Ji Won, Choi Jin Hyuk, Im Joo Eun, and ZE:A’s Park
Hyung Sik, ‘The Heirs’ is being looked upon as the most anticipated drama for the latter half of 2013.
