♪Personality♪
Onstage: Hwang Jisoo is one of the most likable idols to debut in the last several years. She was a trainee for five yers, so she always puts on flawless performances. Her dancing skill is unrivaled by any other idol and her talent for singing is definitely above average. Jisoo is the type of performer to cover for her fellow members if something goes wrong or to smoothly kick a potentially dangerous object offstage. One reason why Jisoo doesn't have many anti-fans is because she never lip-syncs; her voice is always heard very clearly during the live performances. When it comes to variety shows, Jisoo is a natural. She is very outgoing and has friends from many different idol groups, so she has plenty of connections and interesting stories. Unfortunately, her sense of humor is somewhat lame, so she is always stuck with the "fool" persona on variety shows. She'll make a joke and everyone will just stare at her or look away in embarrassment. Whenever Jisoo is on a variety show for more than one episode, they attempt to make a love line between her and one of the male cast members, because she is so easy to ship. Jisoo is extremely social and has an obvious love for skinship, so it is possible to ship her with practically anyone. Backstage, Jisoo is very polite and respectful. She was raised by her grandmother and understands the important of respecting elders. She always bows 90 degrees, whether it is to a sunbae or to a hoobae. Jisoo also adores giving fanservice and it is one of things that makes her so famous. She has a talent for spotting the cameras focused on her and always manages to give them a wink or a wave.
Offstage: Jisoo feels very apologetic towards her members for all the attention she gets onstage, so she makes up for it by being the perfect member. She makes sure to spend an hour alone with each of the members every week. When she hangs out with them, she lets them decide where to go and what to do, but she always makes sure to pay for it. Some of her best memories are made during these member sessions and some of the most infamous REAL pairings are created because of them. Jisoo doesn't mind when she is shipped with her members, even though it may bother them. Jisoo is an extremely popular person and wherever she goes, there is bound to be someone she knows. When she isn't with her members, she is either practicing or hanging out with her other friends. Jisoo is often invited to parties with lots of other idols and she brings members of her group along to these, knowing that it is a good way for them to make connections and to become more confident. Family is the most important thing to Jisoo and she would do anything for her grandmother or her sister.

♪Background♪
History: It was a rainy day when Hwang Jinyoung, the son of a diplomat, fell deeply in love with Kim RiAn. She was a mere 19 years of age and he was 24, but the age difference didn't stop him from pursuing her. At first, she wasn't interested in him because he was looking for a serious, committed relationship, but he eventually won her over. They were married within months and she discoverd her pregnancy not long after. Although his parents had initially been against his marriage to her, they were very pleased when she delivered a beautiful baby girl, their first grandchild. It wasn't long before RiAn was pregnant with another child. It was with the second pregnancy that RiAn realized she was living a life she didn't want. She resolved to give birth to the child and then run away from this family, with all their expectations. When she had delivered another baby girl, she hesitated in her plan, but after a few days she realized that she would be an awful mother. One rainy day, RiAn wrote a brief note, packed her bags, and disappeared. She was never seen or heard from again. Jinyoung was left married to a woman he would never see and with two very young children. The grief of losing his beloved wife was almost too much for him, but his daughters were his reason to fight the dispair.
With the help of his mother, Jinyoung raised his daughters as a polite young women. They had a close relationship, perhaps even closer because of their mother's absence. Jisoo, of course, loved her father, but she was much closer to her grandmother. They would often have tea parties together and Jisoo enjoyed learning about her grandmother's past. However, the serenity of those childhood years was soon shattered. One rainy day, Jinyoung was driving his daughters home from school. They were on a bridge when it happened: the car beside them lost control in the increasingly heavy downpour and crashed into them. Their car broke through the railing and flew off the bridge. Jinyoung died from the impact of the car hitting the water because his airbag failed to work. Jisoo, in the backseat, did not realize he was dead. She and her sister would have died if it had not been for an extraordinarily heroic passenger on a nearby ferry. The man broke through the window by Jisoo's sister and pulled her out of the car. Jisoo's seatbelt was jammed and as the car sank ever lower into the river, she knew she was going to die. She began to feel light-headed, wondering where the man who had saved her sister was. Why hadn't he come back for her? However, just as she began to lose conciousness, she felt her seatbelt being torn from her chest and a pair of strong arms wrapping around her. She woke up to see her grandmother crying by her bedside and her sister sleeping in the hospital bed beside hers; it was then that she realized her father was dead.
After the death of their father, it took a year before either Jisoo or her sister felt truly happy again. Jisoo was 10 years old and she began to discover a love for dancing. Her grandmother encouraged her to start ballet in order to keep her mind off the loss of her father. Jisoo thrived in class and immediately skipped several levels so she was in the advanced classes. Her teacher invited her to join other dance classes as well, so Jisoo convinced her grandmother to let her take Jazz and Modern, as well. When she was 12 years old, she began taking other classes on the side, without her grandmother's permission. Jisoo knew that she would never be okay with her taking hip-hop and tango. Although she was a little young to be in a tango class, her height was already that of a 17 year old, so she fit right in.
Reason For Auditioning: Jisoo was 13 when she entered a local talent competition with her 14 year old sister. They learned the dance and lyrics to one of the most famous songs at that time. When they performed it, they had no idea they would be so popular. In fact, they were so popular that an entertainment scout took notice of them. He invited him to audition at the company and promised that if they did, they would both have a good chance of getting in. Jisoo had realized years ago that music was what she wanted to do and this was her chance. They begged and pleaded with their grandmother for months before she finally gave them permission.

What Being A Trainee Was Like For You: Jisoo had a very difficult life as a trainee. She and her sister were scouted during a talent show performance; Jisoo was 13 at the time. They went through a brief audition process and with the reluctant permission of their grandmother, they became trainees. They trained at the company for three years and were finally about to debut when the company went bankrupt. Jisoo and her sister transferred to a brand new company, M&H. It was there that they trained another two years before being confirmed for debut. The main highlight of being a trainee for so long is that Jisoo has a lot of idol friends. Since she trained for so long, Jisoo is a true professional when performing and can handle any situation with ease.

Jisoo thinks that Ravi is very charming and she admires his confidence.
-How will/did you meet: VIXX was having an intense practice and Ravi has been voted to get some food for the members. As he was walking through the park by their company's building, he saw Jisoo for the first time. This was a few months before REAL's debut and she was enjoying a day out at the park with some of her friends. They were having a picnic and Jisoo was entertaining them with a short dance performance. She had her headphones on, so nobody could hear the music she was dancing to. Ravi was mesmerized by her dancing and he was watching her, without even noticing that her friends had noticed. Jisoo got carried away in the music, as usual, and was spinning beautifully when she tripped on particularly large root from a nearby tree. Her dancing had brought her ever closer to to Ravi and now he moved forward quickly, catching her. It was love at first for him when she smiled and thanked him. She had hurt her foot when she tripped and he checked whether it was broken while her friends came over, giggling. They invited a now shy Ravi to join them in their picnic, but he couldn't no matter how much he wanted to. He was tempted to ask for Jisoo's number, but it would have been inappropriate since he had just met her. When he finally brought food back to s, he couldn't shake the feeling of regret over not asking her. When REAL debuts, he recognizes Jisoo and decides that he won't let her slip away again.
-How you act when you're together: Jisoo sees Ravi practically every week because he always makes sure to go the idol parties that she attends. They have a lot of mutual friends who enjoy telling Jisoo just how much Ravi likes her. Jisoo, of course, thinks they're joking around because she doesn't believe anyone would ever really like her. Although Ravi doesn't have the courage to confess to Jisoo, he makes it well known to others that he likes her. He does this mainly so that other guys won't be tempted to ask her out. Jisoo is convinced that Ravi only likes her as a friend and she acts the same way she always does around him. She is very attracted to Ravi and subconciously she is very affecionate towards him, doing a lot of skinship without knowing the effect it has on him.
