What do you believe...?

So I've gone through such a transition of faith and religion over the past five years; I used to be a very conservative protestant to a liberal one, and now just a liberal ("normal-minded") agnostic who would like to believe in a higher spiritual governance and purpose to the universe.

This past year I really started wondering about reincarnation on a personal level. To account for many of the senses of nostalgic, longing, and feeling of strange familiarity mixed with "unfinished business," I started wondering if perhaps I have a past life or two. But the more I've pondered it, the more my orientation/uality comes into the mix also. I started wondering, did I use to be a man in one of my past lives?  (An Asian man/woman in many others?) I have many reasons to wonder this, ever since I was a little girl I have had gender issues and generally feel more aligned with a male persona than a female one.

Ah, this all sounds weird, but whatever... ><  I kinda want to believe we get another shot at things if the one you're currently in is so bad, you know? 'Cause I either must have been really bad in a previous life to get this one or I can look forward an even better one to come? I don't even know if it works like that. lmao. But - at least it's something I can hope for.

What about you?

**you can believe whatever you'd like, of course; everyone is free to have their own opinion, just as I have mine.

At this age, I strangely wonder if I am biual.
Because I always catch myself liking certain friends of mine, and I know it may be wrong, since I have an advantage towards some choices but I choose not to go down that road.
It's okay because when I was younger, I wasn't into extremely girly stuff. Sure I liked to do cutesy stuff like play with dolls and dress up, but I never went overboard.

From the beginning of 7th grade till this day, I still question my uality.

I think it's cos of fanfiction. Making me erted.

I'm totally like you. When I was young I was NEVER into girly things like dolls or make up and I still not! I've always wondered if I was a boy or supposed to be a boy.
I'm a tomboy I know that but I get so confused with my uality sometimes.

:D But I don't care really.

I'm like you?, ever since I was young I preferred boy stuff over girly things , and I wondered if I was a boy in a past life. Actually lots of my 'distant' family always think I'm a lesbian or a tomboy because of how I act, even tho I'm completely(not really) straight :/
I believe also about karma, that even in a different life, you'll get what you deserve.

You were a *uses deep manly voice* TOTAL MAN in your past life Mel XD Hmm this reminded me of a shop i saw earlier today. While coming back i passed by a psychic / Tarot place and ive realized I've never been to one. Idk if i believe in it but I've always been curious and wanted to experience being read. I wanted to see if they were able to pick up on things like a past life and stuff. I for one believe in reincarnation and well everything really. Although im catholic i feel it would be wrong to rule out any other religion just because they don't follow mine. To each their own right? I find many different practices fascinating.

Not intended to hurt anyone: if I accidently hurt you lets avoid flaming :3

The poll: no I dont really fancy incarnation as most understand it. I feel people identify others as reincarnations since they seek something of the past person.

I wouldnt say I believe religion thought. To me it is a way to analyze the world and provide some sort of answers to what is ambiguous. Humans dont like being left in the dark which is why they find comfort with an answer. I rather leave things as they are and not question it

Kekeke if only I could say this straight up to my hindu parents. Rather than religion I think philosophy is a better way to analyze your life and answer questions.

I am what most would call a Christian but I don't give a name to my religion. I believe in God and Jesus and I do my best to follow all God's laws, statutes and commandments. My dad has found some stuff on reincarnation while he was studying the bible and looking up related stuff on the internet. From what he told me, I believe that reincarnation is a real thing.

Let's see~
I'm catholic ..not a practicing one, but a catholic at the end.

Reincarnation huh? I've read about that before... they say that the way you live affects your next life. like if you are a bad person (a really bad person) you will be a rat (yeah an animal) in your next life. and if you have been a good person then you will be a dog (idk why only animals e.e)

another theory is the one below me about growing spiritually.

idk...I don't actually believe in reincarnation.. not because is imposible or because I'm catholic.. but because I don't remember my past lifes (if I have any) and I haven't felt like I grew spiritually because I still want revengeee mahahaha(?) haha okno .. but like...if there's actually something like a past life or a reincarnation after that... well...so be it huh .. it's not like knowing it will change anything.. (maybe ppl would be more suicidal?) and at the end you just live once (like once in this life, once in the other) so still you need to give your best and what not~

Yeah that are my thougths on this topic :3

I believe it!! Seriously I've Always felt like I've belonged in the past (I love history so much; especially Egyptian) and I've been struggling recently with my uality (I think I'm Bi; and I still haven't come out yet/Scared) and I completely believe that in a past life I was straight up gay 0.0

This is one if my absolute favorite topics! I'm catholic born and raised. I'm 51 years old. And even in my youth I questioned things. Lol. The nuns really frown on that FYI!!! I have a very deep faith. I'm not a practicing Catholic at the moment. I don't believe you must have a formalized religion to be close to God but many people need that.

All that being said I am a staunch believer in reincarnation. I believe we are on earth to learn and grow. To become more enlightened spiritually. To help one another. I believe there are different "levels" of heaven that we attain by the work we do here on earth. I believe the more challenging life here is the more we grow spiritually. If you read Sylvia Brown she says we CHOOSE the life we come into. And I've read that from others also. We choose to have a harder life to perhaps learn more and grow more.

When I saw my best friend for the first time it felt like my heart said "oh!! There you are. Finally!!" Lol. Although I didn't mention it then. But a couple years later we were drinking and he looked at me and said " you know we've been together before ". And I said I knew. And actually spiritually I can tell he's older than me. He helps to guide me. And ironically he's 22. I told him next time we meet he better get his back here a little sooner. Lol.

I think reincarnation is complicated and much too hard to explain. I believe in it in a sense that you die and "wake up " to that new life. Whether its the same soul or consciousness I don't know. ..

I'm agnostic, I believe in god/a higher power, but I don't agree or care for religions. But as far as reincarnation, I kinda think, why not? I mean, I don't know much about it aside from that its the rebirth of a soul in this case, but I do think it's a possible thing. If people can believe scientifically that we, as beings, are just recycled atoms made of things that exist in our world, than why can't reincarnation be a thing?! Lol

this is probably really stupid~ Ha/

I agree with the person below me.
I've been raised as an atheist and don't really see myself slipping out of that until I have firm scientific proof; however, sometimes I do find comfort in little things, like the thought of my Uncle John watching over me, etc. I think that, considering we're kind of like energy in meat-suits, and energy cannot be created or destroyed, it stands to reason that your energy will be transferred to a new place once you die, right?
A kid in Tibet had memory of fighting in WWII as a pilot, which means that the pilot was probably transferred to his body. I think that reincarnation is not only plausible, but also comforting. No one can really picture turning out the lights forever because they never feel like they've ever done such a thing, and you probably haven't! Your energy has probably been travelling the earth for millions of years, and you've been loads of different people and things!
If that's not the coolest thing ever, I don't know what it.
