Autumn's here and I'm sleepless once again. 

Will it come or will it hide away from my sight?

Will it knock at my door or leave just a lingering smile,

For me to see, for the heart to keep?

September's out and cold breathes against my chest,

For I am the daughter of Sun and this breeze is chasing me away from here...

Tonight is cold and I'm up after midnight yet again,

I lose track of time as I put down just words...

Will he come now that the summer is dead?

Will he come now that my love is all confused?

'Cause the clock strikes midnight once again

And I'm trapped in the same fairytale all over again...

 

Autumn's here and cold took over my heart,

I feel like dying 'cause there's someone in the dark,

Haunting the soul out of me.

Tonight must pass again like all the other nights,

Rustling pages and tornados of thoughts,

'Cause otherwise I'd probably be someone else.

There's no warmth to keep me safe,

There's no water in this desert that made me lose my way.

There's no you at the end of this, 

Is there?

 

Autumn's here and here I am once again,

Slowly dying away.

September's out and I have no thick coat to keep me warm,

Where's the summer I so long for?

Where's the sun that burned me down

The soft wind that brought flowers to my grave?

Tonight will be long once again,

'Cause I'm out of tune and can't really find my rhymes

And my music slowly dies.

 

Autumn's here and I'm yet to be sad,

'Cause this ain't our season so we'll probably just die,
