Personality

  Marie is a workaholic person as she will stay up late everyday to finish any work/assignment/task given to her even though there are still weeks till the due date. Sometimes, she herself will ask for the work from her teachers and trainers. But despite that, she still manage to be a cheerful person and is always the moodmaker in her group of friends. She is also a very secretive person meaning that she can keep secrets really well but also keeps her secrets and problems all to herself. Because of this sometimes she will go through days where she'll feel melancholic and just despairs the whole day unless given some work/assignment/task to do. She can be a very friendly person depending on the person ( friendlier to guys than girls ) because of her siblings. She also loves kids especially because her youngest brother died young and also because her mom operates a nursery/kindergarden at home besides her company. Marie also inherited her father's brains. She has a high IQ level and usually help her mother at work. 

Family Background  Her family consists of herself,her twin brother, an older brother who is overprotective,  younger sister and a deceased (then) 4 years old younger brother, her mother and her father. Her Korean name is Kim Min Jung while her English name is Kim Marie. She has a twin brother named Kim Min Jae / Mike who is older than her by 3 minutes and a four years older brother named Kim Alex studying in the States together with the younger sister. Her parents are actually divorced but they both still maintain contact because of their children. Her younger sister and older brother lives in the States together with their father who has his own company there. Her father will bank in their allowance money every two months to their accounts. Marie, Min Jae and their mother lives in Korea as her mother is a Korean and also because the twins are closer to their mother and they are both inseparable.

 Kim So Yeon - Mother - 46 - Owner of Star Enterprise (a company).

  Is a caring and loving mother although a bit workaholic at times (where Marie inherited it). She owns a company named Star Enterprise and also operates a nursery/kindergarden at her house. A divorced woman who still keeps in contact with her ex-husband for the sake of the children but has no intention of getting back together with him. Her company is one of the most renowned in Korea and she is seen as a strict boss but to her children she is the most loving mother. She tries to give all the love that she can to her twins and always take time off to listen to their problems and spends the weekends with her family. She and her ex-husband divorced around 12 years ago because of unavoidable misunderstandings between them. She named the nursery/kindergarden at her house as The Smiling Angel because the nursery itself was opened as an honour for her deceased son.

   Steven - Father - 50 - Owner of a company

  Not much is known about her father except he gives them all allowances every two months since 12 years ago. Even Alex and Sara rarely sees their father as he is a total workaholic who prefers to submerge himself in work and he even works on the weekends only he works in his office-room at the house. Still loves his ex-wife but respects her decision of not getting back together. Only Alex knew that his father doesn't want to meet Marie and Min Jae everytime they come to the States because Marie resembles their mother during her younger days and also because he feels guilty that he didn't let Min Jun to undergo the one surgery that could save his life. 

Kim Alex / Alex - Older Brother - 22 - Business Student

  Went to the States with the younger sister and his father at the age of 10 and continues to study there even until now. Sometimes exchange e-mails with his two younger siblings when he's on school break. Love both parts of the family (the ones with him and the ones in Korea ) dearly but rarely have time to show it because he's always busy with school. Went to visit his mother and the twins several times in the past 12 years by himself. Cares a lot for Marie since she was closer to their father than the others also himself and he thinks that she's keeping a lot of things from him as her character is like that. He only has an English name as their father didn't want to put a Korean name on his firstborn son. A fluent Korean-speaker.

Kim Soo Min / Sara - Younger Sister - 16 - Student (I'm not sure at this age is it high school or middle school? my country doesn't use this system ) 

    Left for the States at age 4 so doesn't really remember the part of the family living in Korea that well. For the past five years has been following Alex to visit them. Doesn't really like Marie as she thinks that Marie is taking all the attention that is supposed to be hers from the brothers. So usually whenever she visits, Marie will make herself scarce around the house and goes to help their mother at her work. Half-fluent in Korean, usually needs help with certain words. But she usually speak in English.

Kim Min Jae / Jay - Older Twin Brother - 18 - Student

   The closest one to Marie because they are twins and also because when they were young, Marie was almost kidnapped when she was left for a few minutes at the park by him. He feels guilty for that so afterwards he never let Marie be alone. Even when they are both older, he stills accompany her wherever that sometimes people say that they are a couple. He is really protective of Marie and only lets boys that he 'approve' to get close to his sister. Him and Marie will talk to each other about all their troubles and although Marie is a secretive person, she will tell him her secrets. Goes to the same school as Marie, in the same year and the same class. Friendly to everyone but acts mean to people that bothers his sister. Becomes a trainee at the same time as Marie. 

Kim Min Jun - Deceased Younger Brother - aged 4

 The real maknae of the family that died because of a disease that has a posibilty of being cured if he undergoes a certain surgery when he was 3 years old but didn't since their father thinks he's too young for the surgery. He was the closest with Marie and Min Jae as he was left in Korea when their father left to the State at age 2. 

Likes Doing works, dancing, singing, taking selcas with Min Jae, acting cute around Min Jae and Alex, chocolates, sneakers, eye-smiles, lollipops, kids. 

Dislikes People that annoys her, the fangirls of her brothers, bullies, being told off for doing something, Soo Min when she acts like she's the boss, lazybums, being left alone anywhere even if its still daytime. 

Favorite Colors aqua blue, purple, black and white / pastel colors. 

Habits Taps her fingers on a surface when she's thinking about something, she can't lie; she'll stutter, she always force herself to do work even when her body is tired out, if she doesn't like someone or something she can't really hide it so everyone knows about it basicly...she'll run to her brother when thunder strikes and she can't sleep without hearing her twin's voice.

 How were you discovered?

   Marie was discovered as she was fooling around with Min Jae at a cafe celebrating his friend's birthday. Min Jae and Marie was asked by their friends to sing that friend a birthday song and another song for fun. Because the cafe was small, when they were singing, almost all of the patrons in the cafe listened to them. Two of the patrons there was scouting agents for two different companies. One of them was for SM and the other was for Woolim. Marie was offered for both while Min Jae was offered Woolim. Because Min Jae knew Marie always likes singing, he told her to take up the offer for SM as SM artists usually gains popularity quicker. But not long afterwards, because Marie was sort of stressed as she couldn't be near her brother, she left SM and enters Woolim as the offer still stands. 

How long did you train?  1 year and 2 months -- 4 months at SM and 10 months at Woolim.

This is because one day when going out with Taemin and Kai, she overhears Na Eun talking to her friends that she's just using Taemin's name in WGM to gain popularity for herself. She also kept on going about how Taemin's a liar as who the hell never had their first love when they are already 21? When Marie was invited by Taemin to come to WGM as his guest for an event, Marie tries to be nice to Na Eun but Na Eun even badmouth her as during that recording session, Marie was the only girl among Taemin's guests. After that, Na Eun and Marie effectively never got along... Whenever Taemin talks about Na Eun, Marie will pretend to listen when really she's not, so Taemin doesn't really talk about Na Eun to her. Even the netizens all know that Marie and Na Eun doesn't get along.
