• Since her mother is the hostess/madam of an inn, Sumin grew up learning the manners of a future inn hostess such as how to perform the tea ceremonies and how to walk properly (back straight, chin up)
• Sumin acted like the perfect daughter to her mother and others so she wouldn't give her mother more stress, but inside she fells rebellious and wants to live her life "her way"
• She refused to become the next inn hostess, but complied to her mother's wish for her to at least be sold into a Gisaeng house so her talents would not be put to waste

• Like I mentioned before, she has a "rebellious side" to her. I mean who wouldn't after being raised to be the "perfect little missy"?

• The stereotypical "best friend"– you can confide in him, and he'll keep your secrets

Relationship: 

I mentioned this a lot above, but basically Baekhyun is kind of jealous and frustrated that he can't be the person his parents want him to be. He and his large circle of friends go around town, and he bumps into Sumin. At first she just seems like another passerby, but they meet again and he gets the impression that she is one of those "goody too shoes". He taunts her, and since she hates being teased, they clash for a while. But as they clash, they also get the opportunity to know each ther better and develop a love-hate relationship. As the relationship progresses Baekhyun begins to see that Sumin is what she seems and Sumin opens up to Baekhyun more.  

How They Meet:

Baekhyun first bumps into Sumin at the inn where she was raised and where her mother works, and they meet the second time at the Gisaeng house. At the time they meet for the second time, they still didn't know about each other. Their relationship progresses while Baekhyun already knows Sumin is there.
