This was the Taiwanese movie, The Most Distant Course, that helped inspire Taemin's confession in Reborn for You in some ways (I had most of it already figured out, but the ocean addition was thanks to this). It's a really interesting movie. Not my favorite, but I really enjoyed it and found it moving. I bought it used from a movie store that went out of business so I had a hard copy, but I found a site that had it subtitled, if any of you wanted to watch. :)  

There's no or homo stuff in it - so some of you may get bored. ha.
