She was scouted by SM Entertaiment when she was 11 years old. but her parents had decline the offer as they were afraid she was too young to train. When she was 14, she audition for Cube Entertaimnet and got in as a trainee. Her training life was pretty normal. But she did have a lot of hardships as she had a hard time getting along with the other trainees. The other trainees had their own groups and basically ignore her. She ended up alone for the past few months until she met a really nice trainee (APink's Hayoung) who befriended her.
