i'm going to rant something here so bear with me.

i was listening to EXO-K XOXO earlier and suddenly my brother came in and said, "wow, Kpop can do RnB too?"

i could tell you it's absolutely NOT a compliment, it's a sarcastic comment to be more precise and all i answered with a smile.

and he started by saying, "what is Kpop trying to show to the world actually? for the sake of human race?
are they trying to defeat Whitney Houston or something? Destiny Child? Justin Bieber perhaps?". 

it took a few seconds for me to brain his words and that's it. i was like, what did he just say??

I have nothing against him. Seriously. Nope, he's my brother and i respect him so much. It was just that... 

i was sooooo disappointed and rather pissed off coz he's being wayyy too biased. and this apply to those people out there, Malaysian kpop haters especially, for having this typical Malaysian shallow-minded kind of thinking. I'm not saying ALL, but a lot of us do.

i wonder at 1st what makes him think that Kpop is trying to get in the way of all those Western artists? 

2nd, and why did he use Western artists to compare them with? i admit they (Americans especially) are more globally well known than kpop idols, but judging from wht he said, it's like, he's stating that they are the only group of people who could make it big and deserves to do so.

arent Kpop (it's ACTUALLY Korean people but they insisted to point figers at kpop for i dont know the reason why? tsk) allowed to do the same thing?? arent WE allow to do so?? any ONE from any RACES or COUNTRIES have the equal rights, right?

K-idols brings their music to the world bcoz of their loves towards music, like all other musicians did. They do things they love. They interact with music no matter what language they are using. And that's just how things work. And in the same time, they bring along Korea name to another level. 

Oh please dont be too judgemental, any citizens from any places on this earth have that ambition to make their country more recognizable to the world, who are we kidding?

Why did Malaysia sent Dr. Sheikh Muzaffar to the space? and why did Tun Dr Mahathir ever build that famous Twin Towers? it's all aiming for the same thing. why cant you look at that way? but in the end, you look at it on one side and being too judgemental over this whole Kpop thingy.

i'm sorry for ranting so long but i just have to let it out somewhere. urghhh again, i am sooo disappointed with people who's having these kind of thoughts and quickly jumped into ridiculous conclusions. it just something i cant deal with okay???

It's time to open your mind people. Kpop music deserves a whole lot better kind of treatment.
