Advice/Comments?
So, on Thursday I need to pick the modules I'm going to do for University.
The Psychology ones are compulsory (considering I'm doing a Psychology degree) but there are a few I want to pick. I need to pick two, but I have to place more than two (in case the classes are too full).
So, here are the ones I may be interested in:
Introduction to Microeconomics: Provides a rule for how to squeeze as much benefit from these
resources as possible - explains how prices are determined; why and when gov. might intervene to
alter these prices; how firms decide what/how much to produce and how many workers to hire.
Global Cinema: Examines a selection of modern global films by major directors (around the theme
of community), ranging from the popular to the more self-consciously artistic - reviewing them.
People and the Environment: Looking at the environment as a holistic working system by
examining some major environmental issues: population, food production, urbanisation etc.
Introduction to Journalism Studies: Introduce to key concepts in journalism, namely key issues
raised by the proudction, distribution and reception of news.
Politics of the British Isles: Explore major institutions and processes in British politics and will
include an examination of the party system, electoral behaviour, government, nationalism and
devolution, referendums, the mass media and the role of pressure groups.
(These are maybe's)
Introduction to Sports Studies I: This module does not involve any pratical performance in sport,
it asks why sport has become so important in modern societies. It outlines the main benefits sport is
supposed to answer.
Essential Skills for the Information Age: Designed to allow students ot gain a high level of
competence in a broad range of pratical WWW and ICT skils using standard software.
I know it's long, and if you managed to read it, can you give me some suggestions on what you think would be the most beneficial modules to do along with Psychology?
Or what seems more interesting.
Thank you!
