Personality :seul mi is the quiet girl in the corner, minding her own business. because of her quiet nature, people were always shy and afraid to approach her. it's not because she will beat you over the head with a chair, it's just she's uncomfortable for people to talk to. she can be cold when she needs to be which she rarely needs to, but she isn't a ray of sunshine either. she just, well, simply lacks emotion. seul mi will be one of the calmest people you know. in a situation where most people would have been flipping tables, she simply raises her eyebrows, shrugs, then proceed with whatever she's doing. she has a few friends, but they are just plain friends (or even acquaintances), not someone who she can share her darkest secrets with. on the surface, it appears like she doesn't need anyone and never will, but deep down inside, she longs for a true friend— a friend who will understand her and support her no matter what, and she would do the same. seul mi would easily give up her happiness in order for her friend to have the same experience, but that should definitely not be taken advantage of.
seul mi is usually calm and reserved, but when you really cross the line, she can be ruthless and unforgiving. she does not believe in second chances, often defending herself with the question,"how do you know they won't do it again?" this goes to show that seul mi is slightly cynical and paranoid, but in her argument, it is of a valid reason. seul mi can get a bit harsh with people because she simply does not understand them. she often feels frustrated that people don't share her view on an issue, and gets agitated over it. also, she is a perfectionist, which means that everything has to be exactly the way she wants it, and not a nanometer off.

seul mi grew up in an upper middle class in new york. her mother was a pediatrician, and her father was a relatively successful business man, and her sister who is younger than her by two years. this may seem like the perfect family, but there's a yin to every yang. seul mi's parents went on a business trip to siberia, and they never returned. (seul mi suspected it was the russian mafia). that left seul mi and her sister, soo min, in the custody of their aunt, who could have cared less whether they were alive or not. at that time, seul mi was four, and soo min was two. after a mere six months with their aunt, seul mi's maternal grandmother took them in. although seul mi was only four, she was so shocked by her parents' disappearance and her aunt's horrible treatment that she stayed mute for about two years. according to her grandmother, the word seul mi said or rather, sang, after the horrendous incident was a g. quickly recognizing seul mi's raw talent, she brought seul mi to italy, to study classical singing with cecilia bartoli. this was where seul mi learned italian, and extended her vocal range to three and a half octaves, from an e3 to c7. she left for seoul to rediscover her roots after training with bartoli for ten years. before she was discovered by sm, she used to work at a small coffee shop.

How your character got into SM Entertainment : two years ago, seul mi had not originally intended to audition for an entertainment company, despite the frequent encouragements from many people. her friend signed her up for the everysing compeition. when seul mi found out about this, she was furious, but still went anyways. she blew everyone out of the water with "i will always love you". sm entertainment quickly offered her a contract, and she has been training since then.
How was trainee life? : it was tough, getting up at five in the morning and training until midnight, but seul mi knew that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. vocal classes were a breeze, and dance classes were alright, but the public speaking classes (as in speech for radios, broadcast, etc.) were what got her. being the introverted person that she is, seul mi absolutely despised the class. seul mi had a few acquaintances as a trainee, but the overall experience was very lonely. there was plenty of backstabbing happening, and every man was on his own. so seul mi figured, if you don't get to know them, then they can't hurt you.

Personality : Exo's moodmaker. The sunshine boy. Baekhyun is known for his cheery personality and dazzling smiles which sends girls swooning. He's very friendly and approachable, as his former high school classmate puts it,"Baekhyun knows and is friends with everyone in the class." Offstage, he's a huge derp and loves to have fun. He's kind of a YOLO person to an extent.

Meeting : seul mi always practiced her singing skills, especially those high operatic open throated high notes late into the night. one evening, baekhyun passed by the practice room and heard extremely high pitched notes sung with power and support. curious, he opened the door a crack and watched seul mi in fascination. only after seul mi finished singing "it's time to say goodbye" did she find out baekhyun was watching her. in embarrassment, she was about rush out the door, but baekhyun stopped her and asked if she wanted to practice with him. seul mi reluctantly agreed. ever since, they would secretly practice together at night whenever baekhyun was free.

Relationship : they met at a showcase. sooyoung introduced seul mi to ji yeon. ji yeon commented casually (but laced with venom) on "sm's another pretty face". seul mi, who hated being known for her looks than her talent, replied just as casuallly, "oh, isn't that ironic?" sooyoung, sensing the tension quickly pulled seul mi away, saying that seul mi had practice. ji yeon was the type of girl who seul mi despised: the pretty doll who sits there and does nothing, relying on her members talent. as seul mi puts it, "being the visual is not how talented you are, it's how talented your plastic surgeon is." when they see each other, they would greet each other with fake, sugary smiles and subtly insult each other.
