Not to be confused with After School's U-ie, Park Yui (or better know as Yui) is just your average girl. Or maybe she is not just an ordinary girl...

       She has always wished for at least a miracle to happen in her life. She has dreamed to be a singer ever since she was in second year of middle school. However, that dream of hers was not all that great when she realised her life as CUBE trainee was too difficult than she had expected.

       Yui was the only child in the family, which explains her personality. She felt like she has not received much love from both parents who are busy due to work. When Yui was six, she was raised by her butler named Alexander Alver, a British man in his 20s. He was the one who is responsible for her British English until the age of 11, when he was sacked by her father. She was then raised by Lee Nayeong, a Korean maid who spoke fluent American English. Never have her parents spent a day with her talking.

       At the age of 16, she began speaking in Korean again. She made a lot of mistakes and was teased by many children. Her parents sent her to Korean and vocal classes to improve her pronunctiation. Yui had no siblings to share her feelings and problems, so she is close to her cousin, Park Chanyeol. They were like opposite polls; a happy-go-lucky and a calm and relaxed.

       Chanyeol is the King of All Derps. Together with his buddies, and sometimes Yui tags along, they form the Derp Squad. Yui and Chanyeol have similar eyes, ears, smile, but not his teeth. xD They are often confused as siblings or twins. Their relationship has to be kept a secret until further a do. For privacy reasons, of course.

       Yui  likes the idea of being close to the EXO boys before debut because she has never been so close to boys from young. She feels safe and comfortable, more comfortable than being with her father. Yui holds no grudge towards her father but is worried that her parents will only spend their time worrying over her.

Personality:

Yui is like the wind; her personality changes frequently, depending on the situation she is currently facing.

       The easiest way Yui can help people is by listening to their concerns. That is why Yui worked as a part-time counselor when she was still in high school. She is thoughtful and understands how the world can be pretty harsh and chaotic. There are times where she seldom speaks, not because she is disrespectful. As they say, "Actions speak louder than words." Yui is a great listener and often gives her most truthful and sincere opinions on something. However, because she often speaks the truth, her lies are undetectable. If you were to ask her about her current boyfriend, you will be easily fooled by her lies.

       Studying has never been Yui's best friend, and that explains her average B's and C's. At home, she spends her time singing, or just standing by the verandah and stares at the sky. When she was young, she mastered English faster than Korean. She would cover some of her favourite K-Pop songs into English and keeps drafts of lyrics in her notebook that she would carry around with her, or even in her smartphone.

       She wants to be a little more relaxed when she is just being herself. People keep assuming that she is trying too hard to control herself and look 'cool', when she is not actually. Yui is not the 'attention-seeker' kind of girl, so she likes to sneer at es who often craves for worthless attention.

       When agitated, you can never win in a battle of words. Her words are sharper than blades, and those who cannot handle her mocking and insults have no choice but to back off. Yui's short temper usually scares people, and honestly, it scares herself too. The reason why she can be very violent is because she is very sensitive. Deep inside her, she has a weak heart. She can never stay angry for too long; she will eventually cry. Staying angry will cause her to fall sick.

       On certain days, Yui can be filled with happiness and aegyo, which calls for punches and kicks from others. She is an expert at the 'Cutie Player' or better known as the 'Gwiyomi Player'. Do not be fooled by her looks! Just because she is often seen with a poker face, that does not mean she cannot smile and be flirty. Yui likes to be praised by saying that she and Chanyeol looks similar; like siblings. They both have exotic facial features (not the same like others) and have slight pointy/protruding ears. She is dead in love with Chanyeol, even knowing that he is her cousin. She just cannot deny this strong feeling deep in her heart.        Their is just one year, but Yui treats her more than just a friend. More like a senior. She looks up on her and admires her dancing and rapping skills. However, Yui is not good in rapping.

       Hyuna does not like the idea of Yui looking up on her too much. Hyuna is humble and wants to be treated the same as any other people.

       If you have never talked to Hyuna, you might think she is rude. She wears a poker face all the time, just like Yui. She is really bubbly and cute, on and off stage, energetic or tired. Hyuna plays a big role in Yui's life. She is her source of inspiration, a sister and a mother, a shoulder to cry on. When Yui cancelled her contract as a CUBE trainee, she had no other friends. The other trainees bashed her but Hyuna was the only one who had her back. They are like twins; inseparable.

       Yui was not that good in dancing as well, so she paid more attention to the vocalists of SM. Taeyeon's vocal range amazed Yui and motivated her to work as good as her senior. They have met a few times but never really spoken to each other.

       Unlike Hyuna, when Taeyeon is tired, it is really written on her face. "Tired. Scram. Don't bother me." She once threw a fit at Yui for bothering her after a long day. Even so, both sides apologised and has not caused any trouble again.

       Soyou often meets Yui during SISTAR's hiatus. She has helped her with her vocals and dancing. They are really close.

       Even if Soyou had great singing skills, Hyorin was always the main attraction. Probably when people had to rank SISTAR from first to last, Soyou would be placed last because she is underrated. Yui recognises Soyou as her senior in high school. When she was getting ready for her official debut, she has always watched SISTAR's performances on music shows. Yui felt that Soyou had a certain charm that Hyorin does not have, thus making her wanting to know her more. Yui once sneeked out of the SM building just to attend SISTAR's fan signing event. Soyou was a whole lot nicer than she had thought.

Naeun is a big bully. She thinks the whole world revolves around her flat . Yes, I've said it. Flat. .

       She is super cocky; ever since she became the first member of A-PINK to star in BEAST's MV 'Soom' (숨; Breath), 'Beautiful' and 'Niga Jeil Joha' (니가 제일 좋아; I Like You The Best). Yui was originally casted as the female character to be paired up with BEAST's Yong Junhyung, but was changed to Naeun due to unknown reasons. Since then, Yui had problems with the company; the trainees, the A-PINK members, the managers, even with the CEO. Naeun influenced a lot of people and lies a lot. She is like a devil with an angel's mask. She acts rude in front of Yui, but nice in front of Hyuna.

       "You're younger, shorter, so you've got to respect me no matter what." was Yui's last words to Naeun before getting out of her face and quitting the company.

He gets a book, sits by the wall in the practice room, and sips on his tea. Boring, isn't he? Well he is a grandpa, after all.

       He is also quite sensitive and has a lot of fears. He can be a scaredy-cat as well. Why? Because he is a dork.

Relationship status: Crushing, but more like a one-sided love for Yui

How do you two met?:

       When Yui officially entered the company, they made brief greetings because EXO was still busy with their debut. They have not met often in the past two years due to their busy schedules. Only during the discussion of XOXO promotions, the managers and composers have brought Yui along for ideas. She took part in the making of the album by submitting her demos but was not credited in the "Thanks To" section. However, Suho noticed a little too late but was the first to thank her by buying her a meal. After all those painful and dark years, Yui finally felt appreciated and started having feelings for Suho.

 

How do you treat each other?:

       Even if Yui likes Suho real bad, she acts professional. Her feelings for him does not leak in front of others. She does not know if he likes her back, but at least they're good friends. They will always retain their *seonbae-hoobae relationship. Respecting their privacy in every aspect.

Trainee years: Two years plus

Trainee life:

       Yui went for an audition held by CUBE Entertainment out of curiousity. She got in after one try and was assigned as A-PINK's potential main vocalist, alongside Jung Eunji. Because language was her arch nemesis, she was bullied by other trainees. Before A-PINK and Yui transferred to CUBE's sister company A-CUBE, she personally walked up to the CEO and asked him to cancel her contract after being their trainee for about a year.

       Chanyeol recommended her to give a try at SM Entertainment. She failed a few times before being officially accepted into the company. All of the passing candidates were narrowed down to 10 people, including herself. During her trainee years, she began picking up songwriting and wrote several songs with the help of Chanyeol. These two had to be separated by the staffs because they were getting a little too close to each other, regardless of their relationship.

       When EXO was given an official debut date. Yui's heart sank. Her years were longer but a bunch of boys who trained shorter was given the opportunity to debut earlier. Chanyeol felt bitter when he was told to avoid her as much as possible without telling her and hurting her feeling. When the boys moved out to their dorm, Yui was the center of attention. Bullying starts from then. They called her names and threw flour at her every morning before vocal lessons starts. Everyone knew she had no one by her side. even Chanyeol. She also noticed that Chanyeol has been talking less to her, probably having other girls to talk to and be with, now that he is getting more famous by the day. Yui, after bottling her emotions, finally cried in resentment, then began to be independent and worked very hard until she was an official member of EXO's sister group, Tinkerbelle.

Any scene request?:

(i) Yui and Suho meeting once more after so long. Suho was surprised at her appearance; she looked different from her trainee days.

(ii) When the official members of Tinkerbelle were practicing their singing, EXO's Baekhyun, D.O and Suho came into the practice room to give them guidance. As the vocalists began singing 'Baby Don't Cry', Yui started singing the harmonies/backing vocals, which shocked them.

(iii) Maybe you can make Yui and Jiho (her ex)'s pictures together leaked in the internet because of haters. Then she gets sad/depressed (depending on how dramatic my character should be). Then (whoever) will come and save herrr~~ *insert Superman music* AHAHA you must put this in!!!
