Family Background: Yoonji was born in Incheon, South Korea along with her brother (older). At a young age (like her parents and her brothers) she was able to play many instruments like piano, violin, flute, clarinet and many others as well. At the age of 10 she started to become intrested in becoming a singer, though she was offered many chances to be in other companies she decided to wait and focus on her school studies. But then, her parents decided to move to Japan for her father's new job and lived there for 3 years. The next year they had specially moved back to Korea for Yoonji because they wanted her to live her dream into becoming a singer.
How she got into the agency: After persuading her parents if she could move back to Korea, she had a chance to audition. She unfortunately didn't pass the last round and continued to study. Until, 4 days after the audition she had gotten a call from WM entertinment saying the other girl who had passed to become a trainee had could no be able to be a trainee giving Yoonji the chance to be a singer. She was a trainee for 2 years and had featured in a few of B1A4's music videos.
Perspective about music: Music naturally ran through Yoonji's blood. Her family were a part of the orchestra and her brother is a songwriter in training. Music was an important thing to the family because it made Yoonji grandma and grandpa come together, it was the same story for Yoonji's parents as well. Yoonji took many classes that had something to do with music like dancing, singing, songwriting and many more.
Lifestyle before debut: Yoonji was a very social person, she got along with everyone including the teachers! She would be very humerous around others and persuade others to have fun. In the first year of high school, she had gotten more guy friends then girl friends but suprisingly she didn't date any of them, she hasn't even kissed a guy yet! She had gotten many awards from talent shows and other contests and eventually she be came a trainee.
