will usually not be tied up because she always
rushes to the music department as soon as she
wakes up, no time to take care of her fashion or

Joo Hyun's life didn't start so well. Her mother died after childbirth, leaving her motherless and to make things worse, her workaholic father wasn't even present at her birth; despite him being a doctor. Shortly after she was born in Busan, her whole family packed up and moved to London because of her dad's job.
She grew up in an empty house with her older brother and a nanny who looked after her. She'd come home to an empty house since her father was at work all the time, but when she was 9, her father re-married. Her step-mother wasn't like all those in the fairy-tales, she was smart, funny and cared a lot about Joo Hyun and her brother Junghwan; she was the closest thing to a mother they had. Joo Hyun's mother was a famous Chinese singer with enviable vocals and looks, which is maybe why Joo Hyun was so talented and beautiful growing up, and maybe why her father forbid her and Junghwan from even listening to music. He hardly ever talked about her deceased mother and didn't even say her name, in case they searched her up, the only thing she had left of her was a small duck necklace which she'd always wear while on stage for good luck.
Growing up, Joo Hyun's father was rarely at home, but she'd have her step-mother and brother Junghwan to hang out with. Her brother was a stubborn person and always loved singing and music since he was born because he'd remember how their mother would sing to him before she died. He would secretly sneak off to watch concerts or karaoke, he didn't care what his father said, he wanted to be a singer. Because of Junghwan's dreams, Joo Hyun love for singing also grew, especially when he took her to concert and she looked up at the people who seemed so passionate about singing. From that day on, Joo Hyun would always dream about being up on stage like them. But their father and even their step-mother agreed that they didn't want them becoming singer and tried to brainwash pressurize them into becoming doctors. It would have worked, if she hadn't had that accident... While walking around the house she fell over, being the clumsy person she is, but she didn't fall to the ground, instead she fell on a large glass vase. She lost a lot of blood and had to be taken to the hospital, from that day on she hated the sight of blood. She wouldn't even think of being a doctor ever again, it was like fate was against the idea too.
In the lonely hospital, where her father didn't visit her, she sat by herself in her hospital room for 2 days, but that was all she needed. During those 2 days by herself, she listened to music on the radio next to her bed, singing along. After that, she'd sing whenever she could whenever her father was at work so he wouldn't hear her. She hated how she had to hide when she wanted to do something she loved, but she knew her father wouldn't change his mind. Though her father tried to decide her fate for her, she pretended to agree with applying for a university for the medicine major, but instead applied to an arts school. She thought if she got in her father would see how talented she was and they could maybe break free from the chains of expectations and be allowed to do what they loved. But even after she was accepted, he would still do anything to pull her out.

Joo Hyun hates it when people feel pity for her and hates it even more when she burdens people, which is why she smiles. She smiles to hide her problems and emotions, mainly because if anyone knew they might get worried about her and she doesn't want to deal with unnecessary emotions when she could be practicing during that moment. Like her father she is a workaholic, but that's only when she's really engrossed in something. If anyone disturbs her when she's concentrating, all hell will break lose; she has a really short temper. When she's angry she will shout at the person who annoyed her, but that's only when she's slightly annoyed. She doesn't get upset, cry or get angry easily, but when she does, you'll know it's because she's really offended... Her rare anger is even scarier than her tantrums, because she is completely quiet and will look at the person with a strong death glare, which would make any other person faint.
She has a lot of pride, always tries to be the best she can be and doesn't care what other people think of her, she only cares about her development as a singer. When people see her, they usually describe her as an 'ice princess' or an 'emotionless robot' because she seems to do nothing but practice and has an intimidating aura around her when she's performing, but that's only because she's passionate about what she does, in fact when she's performing though her face may be straight, her eyes are shining. Because she's so passionate about what she loves, she never complains once about how much practice she has to go through like other people would, because she's grateful to just be able to do what she loves, without her father being on her back. She doesn't think things like fatigue, hunger or love is necessary during her practice times, sometimes she practices for almost 24 hours with no break, but she doesn't think of it as work or something she has to do; she loves doing it and would choose singing all day over a day of rest. But when she gets feedback from her trainers, they say her technique is good, she has good control etc, but she lacks emotion. This annoys her because no matter how hard she tries and no matter how good she is, she's lacking that tear-jerking emotion in her voice which would make her singing better. Her particular weakness is love songs because she's never experienced love, yet her teachers still give her love songs to learn to challenge her, and she'd never been the type of person who'd pass a challenge.
However, when she's with her friends after practice hours, she's completely laid back and carefree, smiling every chance she gets. She 'melts the ice' and becomes a 'ray of sunshine'. She's usually a quiet girl with quite a pessimistic way of thinking, but even she knows how to have fun. People are quick to judge her because of how she acts when practicing, but when on a break she has the eye-smile of an angel, but she doesn't speak much, instead she prefers to laugh to other peoples jokes, whenever she does speak she uses her blunt and to-the-point words. She prefers to be alone and do things by herself, she's independent, but that's main;t because she believes if she trusts someone, there's always a chance of being let down. Deep down, even se has her own worries and fears but she just pushes them aside. Secretly, she's scared of getting hurt by people, which is another reason why she doesn't share her problems, but also she doesn't want to let people know she has a weakness. She thinks if people know she's having a hard time, the really competitive people would use it against her if they find out she can sometimes be a sensitive person who doesn't always act like a robot and has an almost childish addiction to ducks.

They talked to each other after class ended and started to become friends and become almost inseperable. Slowly, they start developing feelings for each other.

Baekhyun is generally fun loving and whenever he's not practicing, he kicks back and relaxes. He frequently gets worried for Joo Hyun because she works so hard to the point of exhaustion and whenever he tries to convince her to take a break she says something like '5 more minutes' or 'one last song'. But usually if he asks her to take a short break, he says it with such a worried expression she'll agree, because she hates worrying people.At first, she got annoyed because he kept disturbing her when she was concentrating, but Baekhyun didn't seem the least bit intimidated when she shouted at him, instead he laughed and carried on trying to pursuade her to take a break.
Whenever she's with him, she always starts smiling more, but doesn't like how he's always trying to get into her buissness. Baekhyun can't help but worry about how much she's pushing herself, but he knows he can't do anything about it because it's her passion that makes her do it and he understands the feeling of wanting to stand out. He shows her that she shouldn't have to practice for 24 hours to improve and pretty soon their little 'breaktimes' are happening everyday, sometimes Sehun joins in.
Their's is a very relaxing relationship. Their 'breaks' together sre usually somewhere where they won't be disturbed, for the purpose of them forgetting about the tense competition with the other pupils. They can just mess around like they have no worries. Baekhyun likes to tease Joo Hyun and sometimes he does light skin ship because he likes her unexpectedly shy and flustered reactions, contrasting to her ice princess image. Baekhyun's caring and curious personality can annoy her sometimes, but Joo Hyun starts appreciating that she has someone to rely on, but is still hesitant to completely open up to him, but he's patient. She feels weird because he treats he so well and doesn't seem to care when her words become blunt and insensitive, he takes her tantrums well too, as if everyone around him does it. He understands her desires and can seem to read her like a book; he knows there's more to her than the 'ice princess' exterior. Joo Hyun tries to deny her growing feelings for him because she doesn't want to be distracted from her practice or be hurt, but because of him, her voice starts to have more emotion in it, especially when she's singing love songs and her teachers can see that she's improved.
