I just had the most hilarious moment at work

Since last year, I work at a mini-resto/snack bar. It's quite small scaled, and we have a little group of very close/friendly colleagues. My boss is also just one of us. We usually forget he's even our boss instead of friend.

My shift started at 12AM today and would end at 8PM. At 5PM it was quite boring at the moment. Marloes was in the kitchen, Marco was cleaning the coffee cups, Caesar was making ice cream and I was about to make an order of French fries. So I walked from the kitchen to the snack bar and all of a sudden I heard Caesar laughing uncontrollably. So Marco and I turned around and then..

We just saw a freaking dude stealing fries LOL. It was pretty obvious because our working tenues are black and his shirt was yellow - it grabs attention when you go through only personnel-restricted areas. So we were just staring at that guy eating our fries (flabbergasted, I guess) when this woman came in and started yelling his name. The guy didn't even listen and started eating more. So the woman grabbed him from behind and dragged him back to the waiting room. Just as she was ordering, he escaped and started stealing fries again. She grabbed him again and he started flailing his arms around trying to get back to the fries, hitting an elderly woman in the process, and he was getting SO angry it was just funny. The woman got sick of him and she locked him outside (that's right: LOCKED). So since the guy didn't have any clue of how to get in anymore, he just stood there pressing his face to the window.

Of course the guy was mentally challenged, but it was still funny. He did not look mental AT ALL! So to us, at first, it really looked like some random guy was just stealing our fries.

Later on, we didn't have any customers, so Caesar grabbed a few fries that were left over and said: "Shall we steal some fries?" Somehow it just reminded me of that guy, so I started laughing and was almost rolling on the floor because- oh the irony!

I think that will never happen to me, ever again. But I do think that we're not going to forget this at work either.
