album notes with hera! this is the part of the colorcode where i talk about song-choice and the album itself, as well as color coding. i'll begin with individual song notes, so. woop.

1. i'll be there - the album's title track. you saw the beginnings of this one being composed in chapter 2. remember that comeback hint? anyway, i think it's a perfect song for pulsar's first comeback - it just kind of fits with their vibe in general. and the fact that it was written by rosalie and kerry makes things even better.
   
   
   the bromances (bromances?) in this fic - the really close friendship things - are one of my favorite things to write. rosalie+kerry, lea+eunji+baekin, hyomi+joo...and, of course, the ot7 moments. pulsar's friendship is fantastic. i love it. there will be an adorable scene involving this song, so...watch out for it. chapter 3 is in progress.
   
    
2. we don't stop - might be the second single of the album, might not be. who knows? since hyomi and joo are the group's maknae line, i wanted them to do something upbeat. fiestar is upbeat by definition - i mean, vista was awesome (and that dance! female infinite, amirite?) and so was that song they did with iu. we don't stop has the cute aegyo quirkiness of hyomi mixed with joo's slightly more mature and supportive side, so....woop.
    
3. my song - gah. i luff this song so much. (though that could easily be my aoa fan-side showing. i'm such a huge aoa fan, it's not even funny.) lea and eunji did the lyrics, but baifeng composed the melody; the reason for that split is a scene that i personally think is hilarious, but it may or may not be. and baekin is on guitar, of course, because baekin/guitar is a cargo ship that totally makes sense, doesn't it?
    
4. time's up - i only wanted to do one negative-relationship song on this album, even though another one got in eventually...anyways. i adore eunji's storyline with myungsoo, and as soon as i saw the translation for it, i was like, "holy crap, this is a song eunji wrote." the reveal of her past with myungsoo won't be something the rest of the girls will know soon, i'll give you that, but i have some plans for those two in the future. and chances are somebody's going to figure the two out even before then.
    
5. the way you make me melt  - what? a non-pulsar composed song on a pulsar album? inconceiveable! no, okay, let me explain. i want pulsar to do a song with their labelmates; i love phantom and i love geeks so freaking much it isn't funny, so any chance to collab with those fellows is incredibly welcome by me. there was already the pre-debut appearing-in-phantom's-mv thing, and any more potential wa family collabs are totally going to happen. but then i saw the song's translation and i genuinely couldn't see any of the members writing it. (kerry could probably do it, but she's not in the song, as bora is suspiciously absent from twym3.) but the song is fantastic, as are geeks, clearly enough, so that's why it's on the album.
    
6. dream racer - this song grew on me fast. because eunji, baekin, and lea were all featured on twym3, i wanted to do a song with the rest of the members - hyomi, joo, rosalie and kerry. 4minute seemed to be the answer, and then i heard dream racer...seriously, that song is so awesome. it sounds like those disney songs by their manufactured pop stars but awesomer somehow. and that whole "gettin' gettin' gettin' on" part? gah. treats for my earballs.
    
7. cosmic girl - one of my favorite aspects of rosalie is that she likes space so much. however, the fact that she wrote cosmic girl was a last-minute retcon on my part; i remembered it was about space as i was writing the album notes, actually, and just put that in right now. i'm pretending the chorus is in unison because i have no clue who sings where in rainbow, honestly, but other than that i tried to divide things fairly evenly.
    
8. wanna do - what? a baekin solo? why her? this isn't bias speaking; this is the fact that, in this universe, the most popular member of pulsar in korea is baekin. she's the visual and face of the group, and hence is pushed into opporitunities up the wazoo. that, plus her guitar skills, made her a viable solo choice. as for the rest of the members getting solos - i have at least one planned for kerry and one for lea. eunji and joo both have drama osts. rosalie can dance. and hyo mi? ...we'll see about her, i guess?
   
   i think the character development involving baekin's motivation to write "wanna do" is one of my favorite things i've written in this story. the song doesn't begin as wanna do, let's say; either way, it's a really awesome scene for the girl. so. c:
    
9. i feel good - the only reason this was included on the album was because it was stuck so far in my head during color coding! and because i really like the song, duh. it seems like the perfect second-to-last track, since it gets the mood up again after the depressingness that is wanna do.
   
   i try to avoid title tracks when i'm choosing songs to color code, honestly, but...that doesn't stop this album for having four. oh well? at least they'll be in the running for the second promoted single off the album.
    
10. step  - oh nopge~ oh yeah yeah yeah yeah! i love step. did you know i love step? i'll say it again: i love step. it's the perfect closer, since it ends on a positive, energetic note of awesome! gah. brilliant, really. i can see the girls performing their heart out on this one. flawless.
