WARNING: This can turn out to be a very franc and honest opinion, so please, don't forget that I'm a Blackjack and I love 2NE1. But I will still voice out my honest and true opinion about them, no matter how much of a fan I can be. So if you're too biased, I would recommend you to not read this. But if you still want to move forward and keep on reading, I welcome you, but... you have been warned.

Time to spazz because 2NE1 is finally back! Are you all excited? Because I am! I have to admit that my heart skipped a beat when I saw the video at my subscription page.

Yup, that was me.

Their first song of the year is out, Falling In Love.

My first impression of the song and video... to be honest I had mixed emotions about it. I was happy for their comeback, but a little dissappointed, because all in all, this song and video didn't make justice to me, at all. 2NE1 could have done so much better. They have proven me that in the past, which is the reason why I'm a Blackjack to begin with, but I'm still waiting for that video that will blow my mind once more. Still, the song and video did grow on me, but no, I'm still waiting for that song and video to blow me away, a video that surpases I Am The Best, Clap Your Hands, It Hurts, etc.

Now don't get me wrong! The song was fine and I really liked it. But there were some things I wasn't okay with, not every part in the song was what I expected to hear or liked and that's why this isn't my favorite 2NE1 song. 

The "touch me over here, touch me over there" parts... how can I say this without sounding rude... I'm sorry, I can't help but cringe when I hear that part. Seriously, why 2NE1, why? Touch me over here and over there?! That sounded so wrong, so wrong...

Clint Eastwood does not approve.

And CL's rap, it wasn't bad, but it didn't feel as if it belonged to the rest of the song, am I the only one that feels this way? I think it would have been a hundred times better if the whole song had the same style and reggae-ish melody as in the chorus or Minzy's part for example. Let's leave the "being badass" part to a different song, considering this year they are promoting FOUR songs if I'm not wrong (yay!)

Other than the 'issue' mentioned above, the other parts of the song are really nice and uplifting! It's winter here where I live and I'm freezing as hell, but boy does this song surely make me feel like I'm lying down at the beach while enjoying the sea breeze, just perfect. 

Also, when are they going to stop autotuning the hell out of Dara? Everything she sings is autotuned in this song, to the point that it can turn unpleasant at times. I'm not hating, please don't get mad at what I said. I'm just sharing my honest thoughts. Dara can sing without the autotune, I believe in her, and so should the producers.

The start of the video... may I say what the hell was that shout for? It definitely startled me, I'm still a little confused about that...

Other than that, the video is very colorful and fun, I love the parts where they dance at the beach together, they look happy and like they are having a good time, and I like that 2NE1.

The video overall is really nice to watch. Visually, it is very appealing, at least to my taste. But it's been a while since they have done a music video with a meaningful storyline, I want to see some of that in the next videos they release. 

Not only that, but I want to point out something else, 2NE1 does surely get prettier and prettier as the years pass! I love how the four of them look, and their hairstyles suit them incredibly well! And Dara is blonde! She looks gorgeous in that color, I hope to see her rocking that style for a while because it really suits her :)

And they definitely look a lot more mature.

All I have to say about the dance is... wow. 2NE1 has definitely improved their dance skills! Am I the only one who noticed how this dance is much more elaborated than their past ones? Very good job on that!

All in all, let's hope this turns out to be a great year for 2NE1 and Blackjacks! I wish 2NE1 the best of luck in promotions, award shows and such ^_^
