playing with text; happy posters ( for my friend who just got photoshop )

1. (outlining)

- type anything on your canvas. >:D
- go to layer > layer style > ^^
change the colour if you wish :D

2. floating outline? (idk what its called lol)

- go to select > load selection.
- now add a layer (transparent)
by pressing the thing that looks like
a paper with a folded corner/flap.
- now fill the layer in (selected area)
with a different colour. any colour :D
- now go to select > modify > contract >
by 1 pixel/s. and then press delete.
- move the layer around, and you should
get something like this:

3. shadow? (please dont kill me idk names LOL.)
method one (you can end up with this, and only this):

this is basically just duplicated layer of the text and then dragged to be visualised as a shadow.
unless you like.. change the size of the text i dont think you can get anywhere further from that by duplicating LOL.

well, if you use method two (which i prefer): you get this.

okay so seriously, there actually is no big difference,
but here goes:
1. on the chanyeol text layer, go to select > load selection.
2. add another (transparent) layer.
3. go to select (again) > modify > expand > 2/3 pixels (up to you) and then fill in  another colour.
4. put the freshly filled layer underneath the original chanyeol text layer.
5. move it around. you should get this 3d thing. no? ok. sorry.

well im not good at this ; _ ;

got any questions, ask me on fb bby.
