She is looks like an airhead but it's mostly an act to attract the attention of the people around her.  She has a quick witted mind.  She prefers to let everyone else do the work for her so she pretends she doens't know what is going on.  her ideas usually help the situation but she only express those ideas when the situation is out of control.  She is pretty strong willed, she is the type of person to stand up even stronger when she falls.  She doesn't give up easily.

Background:
 

Her parents died at the age of 8, after that she moved in with her cousins' family in Korea.  When Thunder and Dara went to train to debut, she would take their roles in the family and help out in the family bakery.  She never really considered entering the entertainment industry but her cousin's thinks she should.  Dara and Thunder were the ones who sent her application into the show.  She was dumbfounded when she found out but was shocked when she got accepted for an interview.  She didn't have an idea for who to pick for a partner so she ended up with the last member of the cast.

Why were you chosen/Do you think you’re good enough?:

The productors though that the opposite sides of her and Dongwoo would create an interesting show.  But the producers were surpised to see Hye Rin act just as clueless as Dongwoo, they were planning to cut their coupling after the pilot ep but were surprised at the positive feedback of the couple.
