Anyhooville. As a lot of you know - being mainly subscribed to Her Whisper is the Lucifer, the original back-story to the fanfic is not mine. Maia is not my character, the universe its set in is not mine. It's a crossover AU fic from my favourite novel series in the world, Agent Angel (formerly known as Angels Unlimited).

Thirteen year old girl called Melanie Beeby finds herself killed by a joyrider, and ends up in the Heavenly realms of the Angel Academy. Through her studying to become a fully fledged angel, she time travels to many different periods of Earth, being the guardian angel to some humans in need. Yet Darkness is always trying to stop her - mainly demons that she doesn't hesitate to kick the asses of.
Maia appears in book 10, Going for Gold, where Mel goes to Ancient Egypt without any kind of cosmic backup to alert her of demonic presence.

Now, the books are hardly known, which is surprising for me - I'm clearly addicted. They were mainly published in the UK and Aus, and have been out of print for a long time.
For my readers who have been interested in the actual novel series that inspired my work, there is now a way to read the books! My favourite author and dear friend of mine, Annie Dalton, has begun to add the series to Amazon Kindle. They're extremely cheap, only $2.99 USD per eBook. They have a brand new title - Angel Academy, and some very swanky covers with beautiful artwork.

I really, really recommend you read the series. While my novels are dark and, yes erted, AA has that bubbly, feel-good, adorable fantasy feel to it. They're incredibly imaginative and whenever you're feeling down, you just read Mel Beeby's sweet lingo and you're cheered up again. I began to read them in 2007 and I will read them until my grandma years. They've both shaped me as a writer, and a literary fan.
