Ramblings and Greetings

I don't think it is right to use "writing for enjoyment" as a reason for not editing/proofreading our stories. It seems to me that "writing for enjoyment" is equated to laziness. We could "writing for enjoyment" and actually be proud that what we have written is presentable.

Those who edit their work don't necessarily do it for subscribers or upvotes.

Because if writers only want subbies and upvotes, I don't think writers would bother editing their work as you can see below.

AFFers don't mind much about grammar or the plot, even proper capitalization and punctuation marks.

It's okay.

What's important is that fanfic writers provide their fangirl fantasies.

It's all about the target audience, the market.

It's the market. What the market demands.

Market, market, market.

MARKET.

But of course, there are some who don't really go with the flow and just write anything they want because writing is an art, an expression.

But some were not given a chance here. Some authors I subscribed to left the site because the genre and their writing style do not fit here. In a way, I am happy for them. I understand their need to improve in their craft and this is not really the place for that. They are better off in other writing forums who would provide constructive feedback.

But for those who are left here,

I can't really ignore if I know that someone is doing something inappropriate but I promise not to freak out. I'll just gather evidence LOL

For those who have recently been added to my friends list, just a heads up.

My blog posts range from utterly silly one liners to reflections that are verryyyyyyyyyyyy long and boring.

I may post writing tips from pros, every once in a while. If I find it worth sharing, it has the 'Keeper' tag on it.

I can be funny and be so serious, it's annoying.

I don't spazz. I don't fangirl. I don't ship, with an exception in my Myungber fic which is written for my halmeoni.

I don't do surveys. I don't answer questionairres, except for that one time a friend asked me to.

I like posting mysterious-posts-that-no-one-would-know-anything-about.

I care about AFF. I like hitting that report button. I love taking screen caps.

I comment and stalk blogs and stories. This is the main reason why you must have added me. But you don't have to do it out of courtesy.

You are warned.

Welcome to Keeper's realm.

LOL. Idk why many people really bothered about the fact that cliche stories sell more here. It's people's preference. You can't hope that everyone will like the stuffs you like. Like you said, it's market. xD
