[ style ] Hyun Ae is the kind of person that will go for comfort before style even if the outfit makes her look hot. If it's uncomfortable to wear, she won't wear it at all. Her typical clothing is a t-shirt whether just plain colored or with graphics, dark skinny jeans, and a pair of converse. At home, she loves wearing her pajamas and always has her hair up in a messy bun. For public events, she prefers looking chic and sophisticated because she wants to present her mature image to the public. Hyun Ae actually really loves wearing dresses as much as she loves wearing dark skinny jeans. She takes the chance to wear dresses as much as she can on hot days in the summer. Hyun Ae prefers wearing warm and dark colors like red, burgundy, navy, black, beige, purple, etc. during autumn and winter, and brighter colors like sky blue, sea foam green, pink, salmon, pastel colors, etc. in the spring and summer. She prefers her make-up natural and fitting accordingly to her outfit on that day.

❧ Deeper Into the Rabbit Hole
[ personality ] There are only three words that perfectly describe Lee Hyun Ae. Intelligent. Independent. Deadly. First off, Hyun Ae is an extremely intelligent young lady. She has the ability to create a "bullet-proof" plan in a matter of seconds to get her out of a dilemma or a misfortune that's a big nuisance to the agenda. She can even formulate a clever plan under intense pressure! A quick thinker like her can be five steps ahead of you and your potential, inevitable plan. Her sharp senses can even see right through your facade that you put on for the show. "What?! How could this girl figure me out?! I might as well be born a chameleon!!!". That is what the person would probably think along those lines after she completely exposes them. How does she see through a perfect facade? Well, it's a thing called paying attention to details. She pays close attention to just about everything that eventually may be crucial for later on. She even pays attention to the little, worthless details. Or so you believe it's a worthless detail.
In addition, Hyun Ae is your everyday, average, extraordinary Miss Independent. She does whatever the hell she wants to, but can be obedient when necessary. Whenever someone tells her to do something, she won't do it unless she feels like it or she knows that she can maneuver through the situation to her own leisure. She's likes it when things go her way, but is also willing to compromise on the matter if she can't find a way to make it how she wants it. So far, she hasn't found a situation that she had to have a compromise over. When she wants something, if she puts out her best effort, she would most likely get it. She doesn't care what others think of her because she knows that the people who matter won't care and the insignificant do. Hyun Ae loves showing her true colors for she believes that people who are rainbow colored will live exciting and precious lives and the people that are always gray will lead boring and meaningless lives. The more you're close to her, the more she will unfold.
You may be thinking: "How is this pretty and cunning Miss Independent be well... deadly?" Let's see shall we? Let's say that Hyun Ae is a big, gigantic treasure box. The appearance of the box is covered and bombarded with lots and lots of shiny jewelry. Oh, what a beautiful treasure box! I think I'll open it to see what goodies that are inside!! :D As soon as you disconnect the lid from the box, you discover a ticking time bomb! Why the hell is a time bomb in such a glorious treasure chest?! Well, the treasure box is Hyun Ae, obviously, and the bomb is actually her feelings which includes love, hate, anger, and the rest of those good stuff. Since it's a time bomb, the time represents the amount of patience that she consists. When the time runs out, "BOOM!!!", she "blows up". When she "blows up", it would be like thundering firecrackers lighting up the sky on a country's Independence Day (if it's a good feeling) or World War lll (if it's a bad feeling). Although, she's not a very impatient person, she can only wait for so long. We all eventually get tired of waiting, don't we?
She can be as fast as a meteor traveling through the endless outer space with a rate of one million light-years and at the same time, she can be as slow as a tortoise when procrastinating. Even if she procrastinates, she will get the work done before the deadline no matter what it takes. Hyun Ae tries her best to withhold from failing because she would feel like a piece of crap if she ever did. She can get super competitive without noticing she is. Hyun Ae is probably one of the most open-minded person you could ever meet. Her open-mindedness enables her to think of endless possibilities and resolutions. It also makes her a great listener and advice giver. You can practically talk to her about almost any topic and she will hear you with open ears and an open heart. Every time you're with her, you'll be either relaxing or laughing your off depending on her mood and level of hyperness. At times, she likes to process information based on logic and evidence. If the information that goes in to her head is completely and utterly irrational, she will know no matter how detailed and persuasive you are. She's not the girl you would easily trick in to your trap. So if she can see through your facade, she can see through the lies and the false information. Even though Hyun Ae is open minded, she would need strong evidence to support your out of the ordinary claim. She may appear to be a devious mastermind, but once you get to know her, she is a lovely individual.
Just like every other human, she most certainly have flaws. Her biggest flaw is greed. When she finally gets a taste of something she have always been wanting for a very long time, she would automatically want more of it. She would want more and more of it until she gets bored of it. And when she does get bored of it, she throws it away like yesterday's kimchi. Hyun Ae really tries not to be greedy, but it seems to completely take over her at times. She doesn't get greedy over people though. She only gets greedy over inanimate objects such as food, CDs, electronics, etc. She believes that being greedy over people is stupid and childish. It doesn't do you good to become greedy over someone. Another one of her flaws is that she tends to be demanding. But don't get it mixed up with bossy and controlling though. She's pretty far from being bossy and controlling. The way she "demands" is that she "demands" you to do your part and excel in that portion of it. What more is there to say? She's a perfectionist.
Last, but certainly not least, under her enigmatic and bullet-proof exterior, she is a daydream-romantic. Hyun Ae loves LOVE even if she is bit afraid of it. She reads about love, sings about love, and thinks about love. She thinks it's the most wonderful thing that can ever happen to a human being. But then again, Love can be an annoying bigot. However, without it, what's the point of continuing to walk and breathe on a loveless universe?
[ background ] Hyun Ae was born in Busan, Korea. While growing up in Busan, she helped out her parent's fishing business. Every day when Hyun Ae came home from school, she would change into her fishing gear, hop on to the family's fishing boat, and go fishing with her father. Their family business was a huge success in their little town until a bunch of gangs decided that it was cool to steal their boat and all of the fishes with it. Even though the fishing business was a success, they had no-where near the amount of money for a new boat. So her parents including Hyun Ae looked for new jobs. Her mother got a job as a seamstress and worked at home. Her father got a job at a market as a butcher. As for Hyun Ae, she got a job as waitress at a bar. Although, she was only 16 at that time, the bar manager thought she was older because of Hyun Ae's tall height. She worked at the bar until she was 18, then her parents urged her to follow her dreams to become a singer. They were already poor so Hyun Ae left for Tokyo, Japan with nothing, but her dream in her hands. Her mom and dad didn't even know she left until the next day by reading her goodbye letter. Hyun Ae didn't even know Japanese or have a place to stay when she reached Japan. She didn't even have her toothbrush or a change of clothes. She slept on the street and almost got on her first night! Two years later, Hyun Ae was living in a somewhat decent apartment and had a job as a singer. She was about to debut as Destiny's lead singer. She had finally managed to sign into an entertainment company within her two year stay in Tokyo, but her dreams vanished when her father told her that her mom had a brain tumor. Hyun Ae packed her bags and headed home to Korea right away, forgetting her new career in Japan and forfeiting her contract with the entertainment company she was supposed to debut in. When she got home, she saw her mother bedridden. Her father told her that they only have enough money due to his savings for chemotherapy that will only be good for a few years, but her mother would require surgery in order to continue living. Hyun Ae ran out crying to a dock near their home. While taking a breather stroll around her hometown, she noticed an advertisement of an audition for an upcoming new group for Je T’aime Entertainment on a hobo's portable TV. An idea suddenly emerged in her brain. She ran home and told her father that she was leaving to audition for Je T’aime Entertainment in Seoul. This was her chance to get the money for her mother's operation if she becomes lucky enough to get chosen to debut. It was a hit or miss, but it was better than borrowing money from loan sharks or working at minimum wage jobs to earn money for an expensive and extensive surgery. They couldn't ask for money from her cousin's family either because they were going through some finanial problems at the time. This was her last hope.

Personality Description: Hyun Ae's father is a very humorous man. He would always crack jokes to make his family's day and ease the tension during conflicts. He's a very easygoing person, who usually tends to go with the flow. He would do anything to protect his family. He is even tempered and is the last person to act irrationally in difficult situations.
Interaction: Hyun Ae can always count on her father to be the one who creates secondhand embarrassment for her whenever he is around her friends and even her group members. For Hyun Ae, he is the father version of the mother who is eager to share their child's hilarious and adorable diaper days stories with pretty much everyone he encounters. He is the person Hyun Ae goes to whenever she feels she can't take on life anymore with troubled calls in the middle of the night ending with her father's gentle urging for her to keep on moving forward with her head up high just like he taught her. He is Hyun Ae's best friend and he sometimes acts like one too despite her embarrassment.

Personality Description: Hyun Ae's mother is an extremely witty and headstrong lady. She may be a petite lady, but she packs a powerful punch. She was a notorious fighter back in her high school years given her fiery personaliy. Despite her aggressive persona, she is a very loving mother who would try her best to provide her child with everything she needs. She is observant as she can see the special qualities a person possesses while they may not see those qualities themselves.
Interaction: Hyun Ae and her mother are like bickering sisters. They're always playfully bickering with each other about anything and everything, even over handsome Korean actors in K-dramas. When Hyun Ae was little, she would run home straight to her mother whenever some kids at school were being mean to her on that day and her mother would drag Hyun Ae to school the very next day despite her daughter's protests to give the bullies the lecture of their lives. To put it precisely, Hyun Ae's mother is her superhero.

Personality Description: Baek Hyun is by far the loudest and most talkative family member and person Hyun Ae has ever met. Due to his boisterous and outgoing personality, he is easily able to make friends. He is witty and humorous, cracking jokes at the right moment and when the situation calls for it. He is a bit rash at times with his decisions and his actions. He is extremely passionate about the things he loves, specifically singing. He desires to become the best in whatever he does. He is one of the most ambitious person Hyun Ae knows.
Interaction: Whenever Baek Hyun and his parents would come to visit Hyun Ae and her family and vice versa, he would automatically attach himself by Hyun Ae's side and immediately begin talking about what's happening in his life since Hyun Ae's last visit and gossip about cute girl groups to her. As she passed by a park, she noticed Hyun Ae struggling to get the dance moves down. Hyo Yeon decided to help her because she admired Hyun Ae's persistence in getting the routine exactly right and the amount of perspiration she saw on Hyun Ae's forhead further urged Hyo Yeon to help her out. After Hyo Yeon helped Hyun Ae out, they started talking about random things, and eventually grew fond of each other. Hyun Ae thanked Hyo Yeon for helping her out and Hyo Yeon offered to be her dance tutor. Since that day, they have been best friends.

Personality Description: Soo Young is a very sweet girl with a huge appetite. Everytime Hyun Ae hangs out with her, Soo Young is either eating or taking her to a place to eat. Although she spends most of her time eating, she spends the rest contributing to Hyo Yeon's antics at the Girls' Generation dorm. She is a playful individual with an optimistic perception of life. She is the one person who can always tell if a person is troubled or having a bad day. And when she sees someone she cares like that, she takes them out to eat to make them feel better and the bill is always on her.
How You Met: Hyun Ae met Soo Young through Hyo Yeon when she invited Hyun Ae and her other friends over to the Girls' Generation dorms to watch the last "Harry Potter" movie together with the members.
Interaction: At first, Soo Young was pretty awkward around Hyun Ae due to her serious demeanor, but then, as they started talking with each other more, Soo Young started warming up to her and Hyun Ae started being more open to her dongsaeng. Soo Young realized that Hyun Ae is actually really friendly once she got to know her. When they have time, Hyun Ae would take her dongsaeng out to eat and they would go window shopping around the city. Their friendship is mostly centered around good food and giggles, lots and lots of giggles.

[ ideal type ] She is attracted to sharp, polite gentlemen who are completely and utterly romantic. She wants a man who would treat her with respect and nothing, but respect. Hyun Ae likes it when a guy can make her laugh until she nearly pisses her pants. She really loves it when the guy knows how to cook. But most of all, she wants someone who can bring her out of her stoic exterior and make her feel comfortable making a fool out of herself without feeling embarrassed, but instead, laugh at herself for being so ridiculous and be completely okay with it. An example of her ideal man is Heo Young Saeng from SS501.

[ personality ] When a person first meets Yi Fan, they would most likely be intimidated by his height and his stoic expression. It would seem hard to get closer to him because of this first impression. However, beneath the serious facial expression and bushy eyebrows, is one of the most awkward person to ever walk on this Earth. He is an extremely awkward fellow with long uncoordinated limbs to accentuate that awkwardness. In addition, Yi Fan is actually a really warm person with a big heart. He keeps the people he cares about close to his heart. He is nostalgic, holding on to things, such as shoes, worn bags, and jewelry, that are parts of greater and significant memories. Yi Fan is a "try hard". There are times that he tries a bit too hard to do something (good examples of this would be dancing and looking cool in front of the cameras), but in the end, he just looks dumb. There are also times when it seems that he is pulling a load of confidence out of his , especially when it comes to his "artistic abilities" (his drawings are horrible). Despite all the confidence overflowing from his and into his "gift for art", Yi Fan is pretty insecure about himself at times. And of course, he tries to hide it. However, his insecurities do not stop him from trying his best to succeed. Yi Fan is a private person in which he really separates his personal life away from his career as an idol who is always in the limelight.
[ the first meeting ] Yi Fan and Hyun Ae met when Hyun Ae dropped by her cousin Baekhyun's company to drop off her homemade bimbap for him as good luck for his debut. She came in EXO's practice room while they were taking a break from their dance practice and Baekhyun introduced her to s one by one and then last, but not least, Yi Fan.
[ relationship ] As of now, Hyun Ae and Yi Fan has a noona/dongsaeng relationship with each other. Hyun Ae is very fond of Yi Fan, but she just usually passes that fondness as platonic affection for her dongsaeng. She is aware that her fondness for him may not exactly fall into the noona/dongsaeng relationship, but she purposely turns the blind side to that because she is so unsure of Yi Fan's feelings. She knows that he cares for her a lot, but whether or not it goes further on to the romantic area, she has no idea. There are times when she feels as if maybe, just maybe he likes her more than a noona.

[ trainee history ] Hyun Ae spent two years being with Hedeki Entertainment in Japan to become a singer in a J-rock band before forfeiting her contract due to family issues. She shortly joined Je T'aime Entertainment as trainee in South Korea. In the beginning, Hyun Ae had a hard time because she had no experience in dancing whatsoever. She struggled a lot in dancing, staying hours after practice to catch up to the other trainees. Dancing was very frusterating for her, but she was profusely determined to become better. Her trainee years were a huge challenge, but she still had fun despite all the turmoils and cherished all the lessons she learned from her sunbaes and her instrutors. Her mother is the very reason why she never gave up.
