DATE OF BIRTH: 19 December 1994 AGE: 25 ETHNICITY: Japanese LINGUISTIC SKILL: Fluent Japanese (she's Japanese), Fluent English, Fluent Korean FACE CLAIM: Fuji Lena + Ishigami Miho (Kwon Su Jeong + Jung Min Hee in case you prefer ulzzangs over gyarus, just figured I would use a Japanese face for a Japanese character as for trying to match her personality I suppose it's just a matter of finding pictures like the one to your left where she isn't showing any expression) TEACHING STYLE/WORK ETHICS: She's the cool teacher only because she doesn't bother with things like homework – she figures she'd have to check it to be reassured that they did it, but then she doesn't care enough so she doesn't bother. While she is the cool teacher to the students who don't care she's also the scariest grader in the English department. She's an English teacher so she doesn't see a point in making tests so her class consists of writing for the most part. The only thing that really excites her about her job is crushing her students' spirits by criticizing their every word – work that has been returned is usually littered with red ink and broken dreams. Some students even cry after receiving their essay or whatever work back. |
TRIVIA:
× Allergic to cats and pineapples – her lips swell after eating pineapples making her look like a...fish. |
PERSONALITY: [ apathetic, temperamental, otaku, passive-aggressive, delusional (?), slightly immature ert (more than slightly maybe?) ] Nori doesn't really care about anything but her rabbits and anime memoribilia – if the school was burning down and she had the choice of saving one manga and her student, she'd choose the manga. She doesn't like putting any effort into anything she doesn't care about so really she isn't very productive at work. Some might say Nori is immature simply because of her childish habits such as doodling and remarking any possible ual innuendo that may come up in a sentence – that's what she said is something heard very often out of her in the staff room. This leads to the assumption she is a ert but it isn't anything she denies. She doesn't think she's a ert but her manga selection says otherwise as does her ability to find something ual in everything anyone says. The strange part is that she says everything in her monotonus voice – it's rare to hear her speak in a way that doesn't sound bored and sometimes even robotic. She's easily irritated and is rather mean when she gets annoyed often throwing things at whoever annoyed her – thanks to being passive-aggressive, she is usually the source of hostile jokes in the staff room and late paperwork or report cards. She often throws things as well like erasers but plays innocent just because she can. She has a strong dislike for men in the real world as they do not meet the abnormally high expectations she has set thanks to manga and anime. She doesn't hate men, she just can't find herself ever committing to a relationship with one that doesn't carry himself like the fictional males of manga. Yes you could say she's delusional in that sense with her inhumane expectations of men. Of course with a face like her she gets asked out quite a bit but aside from visuals, there's nothing really attractive about her – well in terms of personality of course. |

The (Written) Interview WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER? After graduating I realized I had no idea what I wanted to become. I had great marks and yet I had no idea what I wanted to do. So I did what anyone would do. I turned to teaching. Do I have a passion for teaching? I won't lie; no. Am I good at it? Yes. Teaching has its perks, I run the class, I'm my own boss when I'm in the classroom, I have decent breaks, and decent pay to support my lifestyle. I can't guarantee any type of super ecstatic I-want-to-change-the-world-by-creating-many-little-philanthropists type of enthusiasm, but I do believe you will see a great improvement in the English marks and that may or may not be one of the reasons for why I want to teach. I like the idea of helping someone improve...I guess... To answer your question if it regards reasons why I want to become a teacher here. I want to get back to teaching since I need to support myself, and my current job isn't going to cut it. I notice that the students are...rowdy. You aren't going to find many teachers willing to put up with that. WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY DOING? Working part-time at the big bookstore in the mall because the school closed down after one of the students and his friends set the school on fire. I was head of the English department at my previous school most likely thanks to my exceptional marks in university and my ability to frighten my students into doing better because they felt so pathetic about their work that they strived to do better. WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS UPON HEARING THAT YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS JOB? Surprised. I didn't exactly have the best reputation at my previous school with the other staff members... I need a full time job so that I can afford my cosplay and anime things to take care of my rabbits and self along with pay bills so I thought why not? |
