” Other than the members, do you have other friends?

Hong Ki : Hee Chul, Jang Geun Suk, Yong Jun Hyung, Simon D etc. We often go bowling, have meals and drink (beer) together.

Jong Hoon : Hong Ki who is the same age, we always go out and play together. ……ah, right, so they mean friends apart from the members?!

Jae Jin : SHINee’s Key and Min Ho, B2ST’s Dong Woon and Jun Hyung, MBLAQ’s Mir.

Min Hwan : I’m good friends with the members of C.N.Blue, we’ll usually talk about topics regarding music.

Seung Hyun : Members of C.N.Blue. We’ll practise together and sometimes play basketball together.

*Recently, what do you want to get?

Hong Ki : 2011’s newest clothes and shoes.

Jong Hoon : Car & instrument. Jae Jin : Car & house.

Min Hwan : Let me quickly get a car and a girlfreind!

Seung Hyun : Countless clothes.

when do you have this thought?

Hong Ki : During concerts. Jong Hoon : When performing on stage without any constraints. Jae Jin : On stage till I can forget myself.

Min Hwan : Really, its till when during concerts, especially when the kids in the audience remember us and make us their target.

Seung Hyun: When taking off my shirt when performing.

*If you use one color to describe yourself?

Hong Ki : Rainbow color.

Jong Hoon : I think red, it looks y and very passionate.

Jae Jin : Light colors, in short, these colors that don’t shine but is steady.

Min Hwan : Yellow, although it does not shine, but it is steady.

Seung Hyun: Like nine colored birds, maybe Hong Ki is eight colors, so if its like this, I’ll be 1 more color than him.

*How do you imagine the future world?

Hong Ki : I hope to achieve what I planned for the future.

Jong Hoon : Never really thought what the future will be like, it should be really scary.

Jae Jin : A world where music & food will be convenient and easy to get.

Min Hwan : It will be an amazing world.

Seung Hyun: Perfect life. What is the difference in having activities in Japan and Korea?

Min Hwan : Compared to Korea’s music environment, Japan’s music has a wider variety. Their tolerance level is also higher, bands also have added freedom. But in Japan, there are many outstanding bands, so we face stress from the competition.

Seung Hyun : During Live, the response from Japanese fans are a little more interesting.

Hong Ki: Although we are a band, we are often seen as idols in Korea, in Japan, we carry out our activites as a band with ease, but this is also propose a huge challenge to our ability, therefore, this driving force was a factor for FT Island’s success.

*What style of music do FT Island seek?

Seung Hyun : Because Korean fans prefer a poisoning style of melody and rhythm, usually, we’ll choose songs like these that have lyrics that we can immediately remember as the title track, sometimes, that may not be FT Island’s intention. In Japan, we are free to make our own music, it can be a cheerful music, it can also be a depressing and lyrical song.

Min Hwan : FT Island’s traits are very fresh regardless of musical styles, it is easy to digest, be it a lyrical song or a rock melody. When we were still newbies, when we’re asked what colour FT Island is, we’ll say that its like a rainbow, very colourful, today, us whom having progress so much, can finally fulfill our words.

Jae Jin: We’re actually still looking for our music style like old times, after debut, we’ve learnt a lot in in both Korea and Japan, especially in Japanese market where there are many bands.

*Are there any areas where you’re satisfied and dissatisfied with?

Hong Ki : Satisfied that I can be in this job now, not satisfied as I sometimes cannot control my own feelings.

Jong Hoon : Sometimes I’ll give up halfway when composing, I’m dissatisfied with this, then when I reap a good result after working hard, I’m happy living like this.

Jae Jin : I’m content with my job now, what I’m not satisfied with is that I still have a lot of room for improvement and areas where I’m weak at.

Min Hwan: I’m satisfied that I’m able to walk on the path towards my dream, not satisifed that there is still a huge distance from the target I set for myself.
