yifan doesn't know why he cannot bring himself to confess to yixing. maybe because two best buddies ending up being together only happen in romantic flicks and the growing list of fan fictions so cliche.

yifan would not have the urge to profess his undying love for his bestfriend if it wasn't because of luhan who often clings like a ing puppy to yixing.

 

speaking of puppies, yifan hates that fury creature for they are cute but disgustingly annoying (see: luhan thank you very much). yixing is cute and adorable and yifan is having a hard time pretending that he is annoyed at his bestfriend's antics.

yifan doesn't need to muster up that much courage to say i love you towards yixing because hey, they are bestfriends after all.

there are some things that are really easy to cover up. or the other party is just oblivious?

yixing has been in love with his bestfriend for a long time now but he only started acknowledging his feelings when he made a sign (which he admits that it is a ing girl thing, by the way) that when he feels yet another fluttery feeling on his stomach, 

 

"oh my god there's no ing way i'm in love with yifan" he muttered to himself when his bestfriend went a tad bit closer than their usual proximity to say 'i love you xing.'

yixing, too, thinks that sworn bestfriends becoming lovers only exists in movies and sometimes prompts that writers experiencing occasional blocks write to release their frustrations.

 

it is hard to admit but he is one of those who never get tired of that concept because maybe, just maybe, that might happen to him and yifan, too.

it was friday in the afternoon, yixing was waiting for yifan's basketball training to be over so they could walk home together. it's their usual routine all right.

 

"how come that oily face of yours could attract many girls?" out of  nowhere, he asked while handing his bestfriend a half drank water bottle. yixing can't even explain his own feelings the moment the plastic mouth of the bottle came in contact with yifan's lips, what more when the tall blonde chugged it's contents empty.

 

"heh. jealous?" yifan grinned. oh, that.

 

yixing knows it's the most intimidating grin yifan ever sported.

yixing was contemplating on telling yifan to 'please stop initiating skinships, you're making my hopes up' or not, because he can't help but to assume that their friendship is going overboard.

 

 

ix.

how yifan wished yixing doesn't recognize what little action he is doing to his bestfriend actually meant something, like when he grazes their hand on purpose while walking on their way home side by side. he thinks he's gotten crazy that a millisecond of skin contact is enough to make him light headed.

when yifan throws himself at yixing when he's all stinky and sweaty after a couple of hours of basketball practice.
