Chaemin has a very innocent personality. Like a child who knows nothing, she's pretty gullible. Chaemin is really soft hearted and can't stay mad at someone for too long. She likes to smile and make those around her smile with her. More over, she can go up to strangers and talk to them as if they've known each other for years. But behind it all, you can say that Chaemin is really spoiled and can be so stubborn at times. This girl could whining all the way home if she didn't get what she wanted. People around her often felt annoyed because of this side of her.

She is very hardworking, confident, and determined in what she do. She is also a good listener and good at keeping someone's secrets, so you can trust her with anything and talk to her when you need to get something off your chest.

Background!:

Chaemin was born in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on November 24, 1995. She was raised in a simple family consisting of father, mother and herself. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a housewife. When she was around 5, Chaemin and her family moved to Vancouver. Her father had an investments there back then. While her father busy with his work, Chaemin and her mother opened a small  asian food restaurant.

Since her childhood time, Chaemin dreamed to become a well-known actress, she likes to act. At the age of 13, Chaemin got scouted by SM Ent's scout staff when she was took a main role as the rapunzel in her school's drama. Chaemin couldn't believe it at first, but when the staff persuaded her more, she's agreed to join the company and became a trainee. That year, Chaemin and her mother moved back to Korea.

Not long after she joined the company, Chaemin's dream changed. She wanted to become an idol, so bad. Her training session changed of course, she took many vocal lessons, dance and rap lessons. She's very determined although many people underestimated her because she was pretty young back then.

Trianee Background: At first, Chaemin joined SM Ent as a trainee for acting major. But then, Chaemin wanted to be an idol so bad, so she attended an audition and rejoined the company. It was really tiring and hard because other trainee always looked down to her, but Chaemin managed to passed it and ready for her debut in Junior Girls.
