a closer look:
personality: Kim Jae Mi is a very simple girl with a very opposite attitude. She likes to play sports and hang-out with her friends. She's very protective when in comes to them because they are the only ones whom she can tell all her problems to. When ever she had an opportunity to cutclass or just sleep in class she would do it. In the past, she's not like that, she was the happy and cheerful type. She always treat others very nice  even if they are not her friend.Her mother's death made her the person she is today, the cold-hearted one. But When she knew that they are to be trusted she treats them with respect and even sacrifice heronw life to save them.

Jae Mi learned her abilities because of her mother who was spy. She taught her how to be a good fighter since she was four.  Her life is what we call perfect back then. They always bond with each other by teaching her how to protect herself. But it didn't last long. Her mother died when she was 16. Her world became upside down. But her mother's death wasn't the end of her training. Her father became her tutor but since her mother's death her father now treats just some orphan who needs to be taught. He always hurt her but she would fight back.

background:  She had the perfect family back then until the death of her mother. Now she, her dad was alone and would often fight. Then her mother came along with your step-brother key. She loved your step mother but she wasn't enough for her to be the same girl as she was before. The good thing is your father changed some of his bad attitude but the beatings are still there, she know she can edure it but she was so sorry for her brother. So your step mother forced your father to let you live in Jjin.
