Just For You

A/N: I wrote this in my Planning class as a daily log (aka journal entry) and thought I'd share it. Of course, it was a huge paragraph but I dissected it to fit like this. Enjoy.

I want to write you a heartfelt poem and create beautiful imagery within your mind.

I want to hold your hand and close my eyes, enjoying every single moment with you.

I want to whisper sweet nothings into your ear and hold you close when you’re hurt.

I want to show you how much I care and tell you how much you mean to me.

I’m not a perfect person,

I’m not as intelligent as you might want in a lover,

And I’m nothing more than an average person.

But I'll do my best to be what you need.

You’re intelligent and kind.

You're a dedicated, outgoing person who truly has a bright future up ahead.

You make the atmosphere become brighter and make my heart spring to life.

No matter what anyone thinks, no matter what they see in you, I will always believe you are beautiful, inside and out.

To tell you the truth, I want to be closer to you because you showed me a piece of kindness. 

For that, I want to make you happy and laugh away your troubles.

If tears do fall from your eyes, I want to be there to wipe them away and listen to your troubles.

If I hurt you in any way, I’ll apologize and be on my way.

I don’t believe in love at first sight nor do I want this to ever grow into love.

But if it’s you in my heart, it’s alright.

If I hurt, if I bleed from the potential wounds you’ll create; I’ll survive.

I’ll survive and become stronger.
