hOw do you record a tutorial for yotube?

not on screen, the actual thing.

ive seen many videos in YT that is recorded from top so it has a nice view of what the person is doing.

im using a digi cam.

Pls dont answer 'Just use a tripod' or anything that is not helpful. Thanks!!!
