Drama Recommendations: I Do, I Do

Hey everyone! This is my first time to do this on AFF but I have come to realize that I am not so cut out for fictious writing.. kekeke, however that will not hold me back from sharing one of my loves which happens to be Asian dramas.  Many of us are familiar with various K-pop celeberties from Big Bang to FIESTAR, some of us are even in on the J-pop scene.  When it  comes to actors though I rarely hear much from others and so I've decided why not blog about it.

Without further ado, I introduce... I Do, I Do! Thats all folks! To make your way back to the entrance be sure the follow the lighted paths on the right and left side of the room.  Just kidding, now why this drama specifically?  I'm not sure, I could start off with my absolutely first drama but that would be embarassing because when I look back I realize how awfully cheesy it was.. but then again what is a drama without the stereotypical nagging mother-in-law right?

Synopsis: Female protaganist Hwang Ji Anh is a very successful shoe designer in her 30's.  With her career peaking and new opportunities being offered left and right, she has the path laid out for her to live a comfortable life with wealth and power.  Gifted with a sharp brain she is the difference between a new trend and a flop when it comes to her work.  However money and fame cannot achieve everything in life.  If there is one thing Jji Anh lacks it is the desire to have people close to her.  Not only is she distant from  her family but also men, with her career at it's apex she has no interest in slowling down to start a family any time soon.

Here is where the male protaganist shows up, Park Tae Kang.  This lovely young man is in his early twenties.  Lacking a formal education past high school he has been living with his father making counterfeit shoes just to get by.  Through various circumstances, Tae Kang has a drunken one night stand with Ji Anh only to find out later on that she is his boss at his new job.  To add even more stress onto that he has also  gotten her pregnant!

Length: 16 Episodes

Genre: RomCom

My 20 cents on this: This drama deviates from the regular older dominant male+younger submissive female relationship and that is what makes it so charming.  While Ji Anh shows a strong cold front by the end of the drama she turns out to be a tsundere character. The evolution she goes through is fun to watch especially with Tae Kang on the side weasling his way into her life. Tae Kang is a troubled young man, naieve but understanding some ways of the world he matures through out this story and finally steps up to the plate to finally make a name for himself.  With the side romances and the contrasting parents from both sides it really makes this drama moving but very light hearted.

Overall Rating: 9/10 I do not believe in a perfect drama and that is alright.  Besides my favorite series Vampire Prosecutor, this drama as well as many others all give a run for their money for second place.
