Please pray for those in Oklahoma, USA

There was a bad tornado going through my state on May 19 and May 20. Luckily my family wasn't hit, but others were. The tornado on May 19 hit Edmond, Oklahoma around 4pm ish and the tornado on May 20 hit the center of Moore, Oklahoma around 2:45pm. Many people were out on Sunday, May 19, and everyone was at school on May 20.

On May 20th, my school was suppose to release us at 2:32 to go home, but we were all held back due to the pouring rain, hail, and gushing wind. The buses were not able to come because of that. We were told to go to our safe spot, and wait for a while. I took out my ipod and started to listen to the radio for news of the tornado's whereabouts. Suddenly, after 5 minutes of waiting, we heard the tornado sirens go off, and I heard through my radio that the tornado was just a street or two away from my school. The tornado was about 2 miles in both width and length. Luckily it veered off east and headed towards the center of Moore just before it could hit us. It wasn't good that it did that though, because there are many people in that area who live there. Normally, our tornados would hit a few homes and then head to a different direction, but this one was an EF5 (Recorded as the most powerful type of tornado) and headed basically one way. It flattened stores and surrounding neighborhoods. My friends homes were just a few of the hundreds that were destroyed. There was also two schools that got hit. Both were elementry schools, Briarwood and Plaza Towers, 7 children had died from Plaza Towers. In total, the fatalities so far have added up to 24, and there are many still missing. Many animals and people are wandering, but have been offered homes to stay in temporarily. With all of the drives and donations, I hope Moore can build itself up again and be much better than it use to be.

Ironically, this tornado was almost on the same path as the May 3rd tornado. It is record breaking and history making.

Please pray and help out as much as you can for these people to find homes and be reunited with their loved ones. Redcross and many people out of the state and country are helping. I hope you all can also, but i am not telling you to. We just need to love and prayers if you cannot do anything else.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Someone who was lucky to survive
