Right, seriously I hav eno idea what to do so i decided id ask your guy's opinions cuz my friend Ben is as useful as an inflatable dartboard when it comes to advice :P

Basically, I have come to really like this guy (i hate how i sound like every other girl on the planet with problems :P) but everyone else i know hates him. The main reason for that being that i am 18 and he is 21. I know what your probably thinking... . But believe me when i say that i have heard it all already so please dont tell me that. Now my side of the story is that he isnt just a really hot 21 year old that i want to get with just so i can say i have, he is nothing like that to me. I have known him since i was 12 years old when i grew up in dubai and he is like my best friend in the entire world. i left about 2 years ago and now live in england and at the start of this year he moved down to london (which is about an hour from me) so he could go to uni cuz the unis in dubai arent great. So yeah i went to see him this easter and a few times after that and our friendship has started to grow from what it used to be, i really like him and he says he really likes me too so i want to make this work. but everyone else that i know just thinks that i am being a slag because he is years older than i am but is there really a problem with that? i mean they all make him out to be a if he asks me to go out to dinner or something and they think that he would just have with me the first time he asks me to his house, but see thats also what pisses me off because i have known him for so long, i have slept round his house before (not like that ;)) our parents are good friend as well. so am i being unreasonable when i think that my friends are being prats for thinking that he just wants to sleep with me. I wouldnt rush into anything if we were in a relationship cuz that is not the person i am and neither is he. i hate people who are judging someone they dont know :P

So what do you think? Is it a stupid idea that i have fallen in love with my best friend and that he i much older than me? Because i dont know what to do anymore, other people are driving me crazy about it so i jusst needed some unbiased advice.
