Materialism

So, kids, my issue for today is materialism. 'What defines materialism?' you ask? Ah. Well, you've come to the right place. I'm the most materialistic person I've ever met, as I've found out from today.

Ok, here's a little anectdote for you all:

I was in the bus station with my friend. I was carrying my laptop and 2 boxes of chicken (yes I am one greedy mother fu- anyway-) on one hand. My friend grabbed onto my stuff and carried it for me. I thought he was going for the laptop, but he went for the chicken (another greedy mofo). I, thinking my laptop was safe in his arms, let go of the laptop and it drops onto the ground like a damn heavy piece of paper. (in my eyes, it floated down slowly onto the ground and landed with a loud bang - thankfully, not a smash.) I looked at the laptop in disbelief. It was seriously one of those WTF? moments. And, when I came to collect my prized posession, i gingerly picked it up and hugged it close to me, giving it small kisses. On the bus, I cried a few tears as I saw the damage made - thankfully, everything is still intact, but there's a few cracks here and there.

'What's the point of this boring self pity story?'

SHUT UP DIPWAD! BE SYMPATHETIC, GOD DAMN IT!

Anyway, the point of my story is that, before today, I never realised how materialistic I was. When asked what I treasured the most, my first answer would always be money, things then love.

I guess it could be viewed as a bad thing (who am I kidding, it's the worst thing imaginable). AND, what's worse, I feel no love for any living thing. The most love I feel for something breathing is my K-Pop idols; which, in retrospect, leans more towards infatuation rather than love. (I say that I love Sunggyu, but do I really?)

How would this affect me in later life? Would it mean it would be harder for me to fall in love? Does it simply mean I have this condition commonly known as 'commitment issues'?

I guess I'm just rambling on to myself, because I know that not a lot of people read my posts - especially my blogs. But, if you do, thank you and your thoughts are always welcome here.
