Color Coating is only Great for Charts

So, there's this story I'm trying to read, but the way it's formatted irks me. Instead of using quotations, the person uses colors that correspond with the character, but i don't feel like learning the system. So whenever I try to read the story it goes something like this...

Hey, light salmon how's it going.

Just peachy, thanks for asking.

Glad to hear it. Let's see how blue's doing.

Light Salmon and Red turn to look at blue.

Hey, Blue. Wassup.

Not too good. I'm feeling kinda blue today.

Why, what's wrong?

Nothing, it's just...

Just what?

It's just... I feel more like a navy blue than actual blue today, that's all.

Yeah. That's how I read all of the chapters. Let this be a lesson: Colorcoating is only great for charts.
